Kids cosleep with Parents

I was thinking if you have a single parents or an older sibling can they cuddle or hug in the double bed especially when kids have a nightmare and it's a single parents can they cuddle the parents to feel safe. Or when it's thunder and lightening in the game or they feel safer when they share a room with another kid or an older teen. Thoughts?
