Don't invest in a game pack if you know you will be unhappy with major DLC like vampires or... use cheats...
I love vampires. I played werewolves in recent versions of the game and that's why I didn't invest this time around plus I don't want them in my game this time even though I appreciate their occult existence in the game.
EA has toned down vampires. The game design is fine.
I don't play with occults. The only reason I own the vampire pack is for the Victorian style furniture. It also was one of the first packs with wall crack decals for my fixer upper builds. I used to hate the Vlad intruder, until we could disallow vampires on the doors. That works about 99% of the time provided Vlad doesn't have the hidden trait to alli a him to phase through walls. Vampires are still annoying, but I have found that if you delete them the game just renegerates a replacement.

Prov31Simmer i bought the pack for those furniture styles and features as well, and I figured I might try the gameplay in a specific save file, but I just don’t want them in aaaaaall of my saves! I still love the furniture, I just don’t want to have to manage vampires all the time. I did change the door setting so fingers crossed!
