Copyright permissions on screenshots

Does someone need permission to use Sims 4 screenshots for advertising CC or publishing stories in a blog? I don't know much about blogs, but don't they make money via advertisers or product sales?
If this is legal to do, do you need permission?
Who do you contact or where do you go to obtain permission and what is the process?

Hopefully this article helps: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-request-permission-for-ea-games-content/I don't think you need explicit permission for this though. Lots of people use screenshots on their blogs even though it has ads.
