grave/urn not showing strengthen connection option

Question

So 2 of the sims in my household died (parents) but only one of their urns had the "strengthen connection" option, which I did. The other never had it, they're both graves now but this was true before when they were both urns. What do I do? I like having the ghosts visit.

@wasteyrselfff  Since one of them also doesn't have the release to the netherworld option, maybe he's gone already ?

The one without the release option is the one who never had the strengthen option, the other had both and I assume doesn't have the strengthen option currently as I did it recently. Both ghosts have since visited the lot which is a relief as I was worried the optionless one wouldn't be able to. I'm still not sure what to do if she starts fading away though

@wasteyrselfff  I would think both options should be available. Did both die the same death ?

@crinrict I had this happen. I had three Sims in one family die of old age at once (all merfolk - father, mother and son all reaped at once). None had the strengthen option.
