SIMS 4 NOT LOADING AFTER UPDATE

 (I dont use mods) Since the update, when i press resume game, the world does not load, it gets stuck on the loading screen. I use a apple mac book pro.

This does not happen when I try start a new game - which seems to be working perfectly fine. 

I don't want to lose my world and start a new one. Will this be fixed in the next update? 

For reference, I used the "repair" feature on EA multiple times. I completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. I also tried to recover old saves of my game and nothing is working.
