How do you turn off the this visual effect that now happens after getting Get Famous? I am in a restaurant and I want to take pictures without these effects. Is there a mod or some toggle option? This effect seems to be happening a lot when the sims are talking in the restaurants and most likely other public places.Edit: I didn't realize this was caused by lot traits because I never used them before. I downloaded a new restaurant lot today and it's the first item from the gallery that I've downloaded that had lot traits, so I thought it was a part of Get Famous because I never seen this happen before today. "headlineeffects off" might be the cheat you're looking for, I don't know if it needs testingcheats enabled but I use it a lot for my photos

Boo, I'm sorry. Those effects tend to occur when a lot has particular traits boosting a skill, maybe remove the Lot traits?

I took screenshots for a show I did, and the lot trait effect not going away with hideheadlines (or the heart icon for parents in labor) really annoys me. :( I also had to remove the lot traits since it was inconsequential to the show anyway.

How do you turn off this visual effect above sims heads?

"headlineeffects off" might be the cheat you're looking for, I don't know if it needs testingcheats enabled but I use it a lot for my photos

Thanks MuggyQuasar. I tried that one, it works for the speech bubbles but it doesn't seem to work with this particular effect. It also still shows up in camera mode.

It's about time they fixed this so that it is removable with the hide headlines cheat. So annoying that you have to either get rid of the lot traits or use a mod to hide the effects.

Those effects would be much nicer perhaps around the sim's pic in the UI. I like the effects to be present but not necessarily on the sim but in UI somewhere.

I dislike these effects, too. Perhaps it was ok when lot traits were all new, but for pictures or movie making I need to remove lot traits, meanjing I won't ever add them again. Not all lot traits give these graphics though, I think, but it's better to remove them all than to experiment and get annoyed.

I intensely dislike this effect and didn’t even know what it meant until I just read this. I didn’t know I could turn it off by removing lot effects, so thank you for the info! I’m so surprised they haven’t incorporated these into the headline effects cheat.
