I think in live mode the sim is "brighter" because of the lighting.
Here's a pic of the same sim in both CAS and in-game on my computer. I don't really notice much loss of detail, the only thing I see is that she is brighter, which makes her skin lighter.

i notice some people like to overly light their houses with bunch of saucers
so that might be reason for loss of detail
other than that i do not notice such thing happening
oh and yeah sims like to pull derp faces in game they dont often pull in cas so that is another thing that might make them look derp and idk how to fix that - lanlynk5 years agoLegendMaybe you could work with the graphics card or monitor color/lighting settings just for the game and make a profile. I've done that before.

it's really different for me
these are two different computers but the quality in CAS is about the same
you can see the arm hair at least is quite detailed and sharp

Here are three pics of the sim in game. Notice the now blurry arm and body hair

@logion posted this link in a different thread about someone having jagged edges on their objects. The link he provided gives instructions on how to change the default texture size. You could try this, which might help with clarity.

You can also try using some other skin, it could be possible that the cc skin you use have different LOD settings (level of detail) so it looks blurrier in game.

There are some differences-- the eyes are rounder, in general there are fewer sharp edges (like around the eyes and the cheekbones) in game. If I had to guess, I'd say the in-game character is a lower-polygon mesh than in CAS, but has some sort of automatic smoothing to round off the edges.
Also the two pictures are reversed? like one is a mirror image of the other? you can see it best in the hair and the necklace.- marea_a_moon5 years agoSeasoned AceIs it only most clear when it comes to the cc you are using? maybe it has to do with the cc itself, if that is the case.
