Question for those of you who bypass EA culling with MCCC

MCCC has an option to bypass Sims being culled. I have this setting on, but am noticing some serious lag in my game loading time. I manually culled some Sims, and turned that option off, and it seems to help, but now I have some Sims with missing Sims in their family trees.

How do you all deal with this issue? None of the missing Sims are connected to my main family that I play, so it isn't a HUGE deal, but still a little upsetting.

Any settings that you find help? I turned off random pregnancies for homeless Sims, so maybe I can cut down the population a bit that way...

  • I always have culling off, and have unlimited sims - I've never noticed any lag from it. Usually lag is from mods/cc or system specs. I have mods, but almost no CC. I will occasionally get rid of a not in world Sim or two, but I don't like culling at all. I turn off relationship culling too....my sims keep all their relationships, unless I personally remove them.
  • @WildIrishBanshee that's odd, I know it's definitely not my system. I guess it could be cc. It's not really a lag, but just really slow loading times. Especially in the manage households section. It takes forever to load the sims images. Once I decreased the number of Sims it loaded right away.
  • I don't have no culling off, but any sim I don't want culled I use the flag feature and set them to never be culled. That way I pick and choose those I don't want any chance of culling.
