Unable to filter build/buy catalogue

I play on Playstation 5, I have been unable to filter the build/buy catalogue. I have tried almost everything to figure out why it isn't working. 

It started just after the "Nature's Calling" event began. I noticed it when I tried to filter "debug" while looking for rocks from the island living pack. I tried to filter the debug and had started to become very frustrated which caused me to just give up on playing. 

Why is the catalogue filter constantly going through this issue every time a new pack or kit is released or an event starts?

Please fix this issue so console players can easily filter through the build/buy catalogue to create beautiful and amazing builds.
