I'm at my wits end.
This all started last week. I purchased Island Living and the transaction went through normally, and I thought everything was fine. Then I went to download it. In my game details, Island Living didn't have a download button like all my other packs; instead it still had a buy button. The order was in my order history and the money was already out of my bank account. When I clicked on the buy button, it gave me a message that said I already had this game in my library and would need to get the base game. Well, I already have the base game downloaded on my computer. I then contacted support and explained my situation to them. They first asked if I was logged in to the correct account (I was) and then asked me to turn off my VPN before trying to download (I don't have a VPN on my laptop). They sent me a link explaining how to clear my cache and that was the end of the conversation. After double checking that I don't have a VPN, I followed the steps in the link which did not fix the problem and instead uninstalled all of my Sims games from my laptop.
The current problem I have been having for the past week is not being able to download any of my Sims games. There is no download button for any of the games in my library now. When I click on Sims, there is just a details button which does nothing. There is no download button when I right-click either. In game details for the Sims, my expansion packs do have a download button, but nothing happens when I click them. Also, Island Living still has a buy button instead of download.
I feel like I have tried absolutely everything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Origin about 7 times. I have cleared my cache about 3 times. I have gone into offline mode and back to online mode. I have searched every corner of the Internet. I have tried waiting it out. Nothing has worked. I just want to play the game I purchased.
For reference, I have a MacBook Pro with OS 10.10.5, a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, and about 52 GB of available storage.
