The sims just came out with an update and now I can't load my game. Before the update my game was working fine and now it's just stuck on the 'sims 4' title screen. I've restarted my laptop, moved it onto my desktop and deleted and re-installed the game and I literally have no clue how to fix it. Last time re-installing the game seemed to work but now I can't seem to move past the title screen. Any help would be appreciated!!
@gabiec09 Just to be clear, you moved the Sims 4 user folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop? If not, please do so now.
If that doesn't or didn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a reply.

Yes that's what I did and it didn't work like it had previously.

@gabiec09 That's probably enough information (MacBook Air, M1 chip, 8 GB RAM), but please also let us know whether iCloud Drive is active and syncing the contents of Documents. I'll move your thread to the Mac tech forum in the interim.

It doesn't create a folder for the game, just the packs? When I moved the game to my desktop it just has another copied version of it which gets to the title screen and thats it.
You're not properly following the instructions in @puzzlezaddict 's post above. You shouldn't be looking at the game installation or attempting to move the app around, you should be looking in Documents > Electronic Arts. Does it still happen with none of your current user data in the new Sims 4 folder?
Im having the same issue! Ive tried all manner of moving and deleting files, but nothing is working! Ive occasionally gotten it to load and then it just gives me error code 135(tho I have removed mods)
Hi, I tried following your suggestion and now I have three The SIms 4 folders in my Electronics Arts folder. Can you please explain hat I did wrong? Now none of my saves are showing in the game. I can get past the loading screen, but only when I remove all of my mods. When I have any mods in my mods folder the game can't launch. I think I really messed up my game by trying to move the folder to my desktop. Each time I try to drag The Sims Folder away it reappears.
