Digital Deluxe missing and steam packs are not in game

Hi, I was gifted some packs through steam by my sister who could not buy them though the EA app so she had to use steam.
 I've been trying to get the crystal creations and the Funeral pack working to no end. I ended up connecting my steam account to my EA account and not is is telling me I need to buy the digital deluxe upgrade which I have had for years! What is going on? Why is this so hard to get working? Why is the content I bought being deleted. please help. = (
