Does EA App & Steam have to be linked or not?

Question

I have tried in the last 4 months to get my Sims 4 base game to reinstall in the EA App where all My packs are stored, But after 4 months of bout 20 Tech Chat's ect I have not gotten that to happen, I just got the Sims 4 base game installed to Steam, but I want to be able to use My over 100 packs that is in the EA App as well, so does EA APP and Steam have to be linked in order to do that?? , I am seeing some player's say no &amp; some say yes but It is confusing me, please let me know which it is, thanks.

Never mind, I found out that (Yes) Both EA App &amp; Steam have to be linked in order for the Sims 4 game to work with your packs, since The Sims 4 base game is on my Steam, but the rest of the packs are on EA App, they need to be linked, thanks anyway.&nbsp;:)
