Once again, my game keeps updating on 1 pack and won't stop

I had this same problem a few weeks ago. I cleared my cache but I'm trying to avoid uninstalling everything again and redownloading it all. When I do that, it ALWAYS says I'm missing content. I own every single content available. I check and it says it's all installed. I try to play the game, and half the stuff I download is missing something.

I'm tired of either having to rebuy or give up playing without the things I paid for. I'm tired of not being able to play more than a day or two without something breaking. 

Half of my content I had to buy on Steam because the EA App wouldn't work for me. Now I have some on the app and some on steam. I checked steam and it's all there.

Please if someone can help me, I would be so grateful. I don't understand. My app won't even show me as online or playing half the time.

I play on a PC and have the latest version of the game since I've had to download it so many times.

  • mysticfairy1  What exactly is happening here?  As in, do you tell the game to update and it fails, or does an update complete and the game thinks it needs to update again, or something else?  Does repairing work?  Additionally, which pack is the problem here, and do you own it through Steam or EA?

      I can't really tell you what's happening. One minute everything is fine. I leave the game to get a pose, come back and all the sudden I'm missing packs again. I sign onto Steam to check if my packs are there and everything is great, but now i can't launch from the app and Carnaval keeps updating. Last night I cleared my cache and tried. I lost even more packs. So I did a uninstall with Revo Uninstaller. This morning it worked great. Now it says I'm missing a pack but they all show as installed in my library. 

  • Once again tonight, I signed off for a while and when I came back to play, it says missing content. But when I check, all the content is there in my library. I've repaired. It doesn't say exactly what pack it means. Is there a way to tell?

  • mysticfairy1  To find the missing pack, open CAS or Build/Buy and filter by pack.  Any packs that aren't loading in-game will be grayed out with a message along the lines of "you don't own this content."  (It's a bit misleading—it doesn't mean you don't own the content, only that it's not loading.)  Let me know what you find.

    If all your packs load but you still get the message, the problem could be the Digital Deluxe content instead.  Search for the items covered here:

  • Sorry for the length of this time that has passed since I updated on my problem. I did once again what puzzlezaddict  had suggested. When I did, I didn't allow Caranval and Star Wars to download. Caranval was the one that just would not load correctly and kept updating. I simply hate Star Wars.
