It's the same, I have no mods and just the add-ons, and my game is still messed up completely. I have no clue what to do at all.
Me either everything is up to date on my computer and everything .. I'm so frustrated 😭
I've had this issue the last two days. The day before if I tried to create a new household or enter CAS my game would just freeze. I deleted all my mods, removed them from my game, repaired my game twice, uninstalled and reinstalled, and nothings worked. The EA app even crashed twice while trying to reinstall my game and purchased add ons. I'm getting so sick of this game being literally unplayable. I've invested so much money and time into this company and game just for it to be useless. I'm so over it.
I have to pull the rip cord on sims 4 Ten to 20xs daily just to get into a game only for it to crash a few seconds later worthless. EA get it together.
AshleyRadford Does it temporarily help to repair the game rather than reinstalling? It sounds like your antivirus might be blocking the game, and reinstalling or repairing would restore the quarantined files, at least for that play session. Please let me know what antivirus you use either way.
I understand you wouldn't play without mods in general, but when this happens, if repairing doesn't help, please remove your Mods folder and try to play. You don't need to save your progress; this is just a test.
1http_Kira JoePaul86 If you'd like help troubleshooting your issue, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
JoePaul86 I would also like a more thorough description of the issue you're currently seeing.
