Sims Not Working Since January

Hi! I have been having this issue where I go into sims to play and it will show the loading diamond screen, and I click it and it will glitch for a second then go back to the loading screen. I will press resume game and I will get into the game. But, when I try and travel or go on a date it will show the travel load screen(not the diamond one) and will just stay there, while my sims do stuff such as shower and talk to other sims- in the background. I was wondering if this is an issue on Sims or a mod issue I have tried repairing the game, doing mods by groups and still something is not working. I was also wondering if there was any place I could take it to, to get fixed. Or an easier way to get it fixed. Even when I disable my mods it still shows that like little green or pink heart that flows on top of my sims when u ask them on a date and the screen will be paused and then it will go to the travel screen. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to fix this because I am so so desperate to play, and just fix my game.

    Emreeseo12​  Please remove the entire Mods folder and test again.  You don't need to save your progress, but it's important to test this way because some mods can apparently still have effects even when they're officially disabled.

    If this doesn't help, please try a new save, for comparison's sake, still with the Mods folder removed.

    Hello! Thank you so much for replying! When you say remove mods folders I did that and it wouldn't do that force glitch, but when I ask my sim on a date the game will not pause but it will stop but you can see my sims doing little things such as talking or a pushup. My sister has an issue like this where the game won't pause during traveling or asking to go on a date. Even with no mods it didn't pause and even with just like 10 mods it didn't pause.

    Emreeseo12​  Okay, so you can play with your Mods folder removed, and the only issue is that the game doesn't appear to pause when your sims travel or ask someone out on a date?  Or am I reading that incorrectly?

    Does the game clock reflect the pause though?  As in, if your sims start to travel at, say, 10:14 am, is it 10:14 am (or close enough) when they reach their destination?  Same question for dates.  If not, how far off is it?  Does it help to pause the game for a few seconds before you initiate the date request or travel?  As in, you're about to tell your sim to do this, you pause the game for 10-15 real-time seconds, you let it start running again and your sim immediately does the action.
