Sims opens the window but wont continue to game play

Hi so i tried to follow this forum

Sims 4 Game keeps crashing I uninstalled and reinstalled still not working | EA Forums - 11913675

however it still won't follow through to game play and i tried to do everything uninstall update install delete EA install EA run as administrator but before i can see anything it says something is blocking something and then it wont tell me what is being blocked because it gets ready of that page and i saw on the forum it ran an DxDiag so i tried to run it too if anyone can help me.

this specifically happened as i tried to download reshade and using Dove reshade from patereon in case that helps. i tried to run any virus issues with my laptop and nothing came up there is nothing in the confirgoverride in the sims folder. since i delete the game i dont have any mods installed or any saves.

  • I also forgot to mention that i ran a validity test on steam for sims 4 and it said everything was fine so im not sure what else to do

  • sphatrnbll  Your dxdiag crashed multiple times while running and is therefore missing some critical information.  So I'd like to see a new one.  But first, please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

Try again to play, and if you can't, please run a new dxdiag.  You can attach it to a reply if you prefer; no need to upload it elsewhere and link it.

Please also post a screenshot of the error about something being blocked.  And let me know what antivirus you use, or else open the program yourself and see whether you can unblock whatever is being flagged.
