sims packs not working

Hey all, ive been having a nightmare with ea... when i look on my manage add ons it lists all my sims packs as installed however when i open and play the game its just basegame and none of the packs are working... is anyone else getting this problem? ive been in contact with ea support and done all the steps they have advised and its still not working so they told me to post on here.
