Adventure doesn't await

I just updated the game with the new adventure DLC and the loading screen flashes. When the main screen comes up a delivery error code pops up so I followed instructions of removing mods folder deleting cache and repairing the sims I also cleared the EA app Cache for good measure. none of my saves will load and I can't even start a new game.
