If you can't find it there open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste this search command in to the Terminal window then hit enter:
find ~ -type f -name "*Slot_*" 2>/dev/null
After a while the command prompt will reappear. Copy and paste all the results here.

Hello Sims team!
I recently downloaded the sims 4 castle estate kit and when i relogged my saves were gone and the game treated me like I was a new player despite saying i have almost 200 hours on it. I looked this bug up and all i could find were solutions to a bug like this from 2017 and I am now unsure if that is even the same bug. I followed the solution regardless and went to my system settings and enabled then disabled optimize icloud storage as I never even had it on, but my saves are still gone. Am I missing something? Are my saves gone for good? This is the first cc I have purchased besides the holiday expansion which was free- will this issue happen with every extra content I download?
Please help me find the correct solution to this problem and fix this bug so that it doesn't happen for other players like me. It is very hurtful and deters players from downloading extra content- which I was extremely hesitant to get in the first place.
Thank you for your time

This could be part of the mass saves glitch happening to everyone since the most recent update as I haven't played since then
Please follow my instructions to the OP in this thread I've merged yours into and provide the output from Terminal. Direct link to my post Lost all my saves after update | EA Forums - 12507952

You have one save and it is in iCloud. In Finder click on Go > Go to Folder in the menu bar and enter this:
~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves
Then copy or move that Slot_00000002.save file to the local Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves folder. It may help to already have that location open in a Finder window so you can simply drag and drop the file.

Did this and unfortunately there is nothing in the saves folder. I'll take it that my saves are gone now.
There is a save in the location I gave you in iCloud, Terminal never lies.

I don't know what changed between now and then, but i'm telling you there are no files in my saves
