How to report a bug in Apex Legends
Hello everyone, Welcome to the Bug Reports section. We do our best when developing our games, but unfortunately, software bugs are a reality of game development. While we work to squash as many as possible, we know that some can slip through. We want to ensure you have the best gameplay experience possible, so it's highly appreciated if you're able to take the time to report any bugs or give us feedback about your experience. When you report a bug, we review the reports and work with the game development team to identify the reported bugs and issues that most impact our players. Please keep all posts in the right section: General Discussion: Broader thoughts about the game and discussion points should be posted in this forum. Feedback: Feedback regarding Legends, Weapons, Maps, or specific aspects of the game should be posted in this forum. Technical Issues: Advice and discussion of technical issues should be posted in this forum. Bug Reports: Reports about bugs and glitches should be posted here! It can sometimes be confusing whether an issue is due to a bug or a technical issue. It's okay if you're unsure where to post, however as a quick rule of thumb a bug would need to be fixed in a patch/update, while a technical issue might be fixable with troubleshooting. Bugs would include things like level geometry issues, missing textures or broken animations. Technical issues would consist of crashes on startup, game instability and performance issues. When providing information on a bug report, posting on an existing thread is okay if your issue is exactly the same as the original post. If you are experiencing a similar issue with slight variations, please create your own topic. If you find multiple bugs, create a separate thread for each one. While this may seem tedious, it helps us get to the point of the bugs making a more effective experience for you and us. Please post a subject with a clear summary of your issue. Starting posts with "I need help!" or "Can't play no matter what" only serves to make your issue harder to resolve. We understand that emotions can run high while dealing with technical issues, but posting in an abusive or disparaging manner will not be tolerated and does not advance our goal of assisting the widest audience of players in this forum. How to fill out your bug report: A vital part of a bug report is that we can reproduce the issue you are seeing. Having clear text on what steps you took or better yet a video can be a lifesaver for us. It is essential for us that we understand what you mean when a bug occurs. I got Code:Leaf error code during the legend selection, and an abandon penalty for leaving a match. I got Code:Leaf after almost every match, when I'm going back to the lobby, but now I joined to the next match with ingame requeue. What should be happening instead? What platform are you playing on? PS5 Origin ID / Gamertag / PSN - Penguin_boy18 What were you doing leading up to the issue? - Regularly playing Bloodhound. Looking at the tracks for their passive shows a different time of the actual hud of the track and when pinged for teammates. For example, a track I saw showed a time of ~30 seconds, but when pinged it showed ~89 seconds for my teammates. Can you reproduce it? I am not sure if it was a bug, I just couldn't find an explanation. I used ult on Valkyrie, landed on top of a team, killed them all and had ult again. Watching the replay, I noticed I got 30% charge for every knock, and also around 10% charge when breaking one of the enemies' shield(the ult icon was getting an orange animation when getting additional recharge). I checked in legend locker the abilities of me and allies (Lifeline, Wraith) and none of them mentioned something similar (also, they were still white evo anyway). I thought I missed some important patch notes, but played more games and got no ult recharge in similar condition. I'm missing my diamond badge from season 16, I have proof. My EA ID is Doodsandstuff, I play on steam. For season 16, I received the diamond charm and a gold ranked badge. When season 16 ended I remember unlocking the diamond badge but I never received it in my inventory, so I waited to see if it was just slow to load. It's been a year now and I still don't have it. so when the collection event for horizon and alter came out, they also brought an update with it, within this update was a lowkey horizon lift rework that completely broke her as a playable character, and I need to explain how awful it is; So since tap strafing got removed on controller (which I accepted) I switched to playing horizon as she is the only legend in the game with the passive being that she can turn in the air (just a basic movement mechanic in the game that gives you more freedom to move, and chain wall bounces and be able to have effective movement) I never liked her q, or her ultimate as it’s very cheesy and in the earlier seasons her lift was beyond broken, I am aware that they tried nerfing it, reverting it, nerfing it even worse and so on, they honestly didn’t know how to balance her q as controller players would complain about the immediate verticality she was able to have mid fight, but last season, THEY ACTUALLY DID IT, they made the lift finally perfect, not too slow, and not too fast. this made horizon a fair competitive legend as she was able to still be shot out of the air if you didn’t try your hardest strafing around while you were in her q, it made sense, she wasn’t the go to choice, she was just a balanced legend with the ability to move better than most legends if you were a controller player, so much so that a entire community of controller players who mastered airstrafing and playing horizon correctly emerged, (people like zerbow; the YouTube content creator) anyway, so here we are in season 23, with her shadow q rework, it now is so broken and bugged, that I can’t play her as a character, not because her q is too fast, or too slow; it’s because her q is now inconsistent (because of this bug that im about to explain) now, whenever you put her q down, you either; - spin around like CRAZY, like it looks like you are neo strafing in the air, and on high ping you rubber band so bad, that you’re basically teleporting around and are not able to aim at anything. OR - you lose ALL ABILITY TO MOVE IN THE AIR, - so you go straight up, and are not able to air strafe (basically removes her passive when using her q) AND either q’s you get, you also don’t float out of her lift anymore, there’s no arch to her exiting her q, so you now can’t even get up to places you once were able to, or you also can’t enter her q back up when you’re going down because you have less time to adjust yourself back in her q, (and yea if you get the q with no airstrafing abilities you’re just going down in a straight line so it makes it even harder to enter her q back up. And the reason no one is talking about it or complaining about it is because 1) Zerbow hasn’t come back to apex since last season (when he does he will 100% throw up) 2) a clip of leamonhead using her q went viral, after the recent tap strafing nerf (that was reverted) where he puts down her q, and the one of the two ways it could’ve gone, the q he put down made him spin around like a tornado so he immediately reacted like it was the most broken thing ever, which isn’t even his fault, how was he supposed to know the q would be different every time. horizon as a legend is inherently known to be hated because of her earlier seasons when she was extremely broken, and it scarred people so bad that it built a reputation towards horizon users till this day, and seeing leamonhead react like that to her q, just really puts a nail in the coffin when it comes to this legend, to a point where if you don’t play controller, and play horizon for her passive, you hate running into her no matter what. I read the patch notes for this too, and they said that they tried to make her lift more “fair” with a better sound queue, which I didn’t have a problem with at all, because sometimes people enter the q and you don’t hear them at all, so I thought it would be a great change, but this… this isn’t even play tested… this is absolutely insane. I just had to stop playing her. please revert her q back to season 23, you’re going to lose an entire community of horizon controller players who just want to be able to airstrafe. Her q was perfect, the most balanced I had ever seen. add the sound q if you want, but please for the love of god fix her q. [CM - Edited title - Don't be rude. Hello to whomever this concerns, I recieved an apex pack from leveling up and opened it while I was on queue to the next match. I was very excited when I pulled my first heirloom shards, and was celebrating as the next match started before I could spend them. After that match, I went over to the mythic section and it showed I had 0 shards. The pack from prior was still there, which I re-opened hoping it would fix itself and I recieved 2 grey items and 1 blue item. It has been a few days since, and I've setup two cases with support about this issue. The last advisor told me I should post on this forum and was very polite. My main concerns about the bug are, #1, When will I get the shards I pulled if at all and #2, Will this reset the count towards the guaranteed heirloom in 500 packs on my account?
