No plays showing in RTG
After the update when I press the R3 button to get new play selections it removes all the plays and I am unable to get them to show back up. Even after calling timeout and after getting a delay of game penalty they still don't show up. Need to fix this ASAP EA!SolvedxSycoGhostx6 months agoSeasoned Newcomer8KViews25likes42CommentsRoad to Glory Crashing

Dear EA Sports team, As a long-time fan of college football video games, I was incredibly excited for the return of College Football 26. However, I’m genuinely disappointed by the way Road to Glory has been implemented – especially the high school portion. The decision to reduce high school games to short “moments” instead of allowing us to play full games feels like a huge step backward. It removes all immersion, limits player development, and frankly makes the entire pre-college experience feel hollow and rushed. It honestly seems like EA has ignored years of community feedback. We’ve waited over a decade for this game to return – was it really too much to expect the most basic parts of career mode (like full games) to be playable? Right now, Road to Glory feels like a stripped-down, on-rails experience with little freedom or depth. Many of us play offline, and we want the full, classic experience back – with full high school seasons, deeper customization, and meaningful progression. Please take this feedback seriously. We’re not just “moments” players. We want to live the journey – not skip through it. Sincerely, A disappointed but hopeful fan PS: I don’t want to wait for cfb27 with this🙃p9ausr8qxm466 months agoRising Traveler939Views7likes5CommentsDefensive RTG is unplayable
The coach grade dropping is far too aggressive. This has been stated before, but this fix should be prioritized. - No weighting on defensive grade drops - I get -15 for a gain of 1 on 3rd and 9? Context matters. This isn't offset enough for "defensive stop" - I don't get credit for PBUs for other defenders, but I get deducted if they allow a catch. Same for throw aways? - Good / Great coverage is bugged. Appears randomly - As stated, academics value per energy is not realistic Considering we can adjust exp and sliders, just let us turn on/off the grades. I just want to play without playing 1 drive per quarter before I get dropped. I don't necessarily think this is "skill issue". I think it's unfair to penalize an individual player for a defensive unit. The joy of this game comes from being hercules on a bad squad, but that's impossible if my 64 edge defender can't set the edge while I'm playing cornerback on the opposite side.Dangywyatt7 months agoRising Novice1.6KViews7likes10CommentsAcademics is very unrealistic
I dedicate at least 3 of my 6/7 weekly energy points to Academics, and I'll get it all the way up to a 3.6/3.8. Then exam time hits and I get C's or D's, my GPA plummets and I have "fail" on academics. Then I have to spend even more to get it back to where I'm eligible. This is also after I choose whatever prompts I get to say "study for this exam/project/etc" that also take away energy points. This needs to be fixed. Suggestions: make small drops unless the player NEVER spends any time in academics--to which make the plummet. But if the player spends time in academics, at least let it go up around exam time. Also, 6 or 7 energy points is very low considering you have 5 areas to work on, which a few of them start off using 2 energy points. That's WAY too difficult to maintain and is not realistic. Minimally it should be 8 with a few 10s sprinkled in.goatcheese4me7 months agoSeasoned Newcomer1.7KViews7likes8CommentsRTG as a DB
To start off I am not that good at the game. However that being said, I created a DB RTG and in the high school games I had a lot of fun and got an interception. I have played as a DB in 25 and as well in former Madden games. Playing as my DB once I got him to college has been a struggle. My player is consistently not being targeted even though I feel as if I am baiting the QB pretty well. But that is not what has been frustrating the most. What has been the most frustrating is the fact that I am constantly being subbed out because my grade gets down to an F. This is so frustrating because the main reason my grade is getting so low is because of the plays on the opposite side of the field that are big gains which is all on my teammates not me yet I have to lose so much coach trust/happiness because of it.241Views7likes3CommentsCamera angles are terrible in RTG
Why are the camera angles for this game terrible? The camera angles are not great at all for playing CB or defense altogether. EA, you should have just kept the original angles from NCAA25 because at least the wide camera angle actually showed the entire team and lineup on the field. I was able to actually see my player and see the angles I needed in order to make a tackle, int, pass deflection, or stop a touchdown overall. Y’all literally tried to fix something that really wasn’t broken. Do not be like 2K sports and ruin a decent game trying to change gameplay as far as controller and visual dynamics go! The camera angles for defense is a no go and I think y’all should really consider changing back to the original camera angles. If Madden 26 has the same issues in Superstar Mode, I guarantee that players will no longer want to invest their time and money in future projects.KID20146 months agoSeasoned Newcomer517Views5likes2CommentsRTG: Cannot Graduate Early OR still taking classes in 5th year.
I’ve gone through 3 RTG players, picking a different route to the end each time. One using the transfer portal after 2 seasons, one with all 4 years at the same school, and lastly redshirting for 5 years at the same school. Each run through had the same 4.0 GPA in every season. I sunk in every possible point into academics each week. According to my academic advisor, getting a 3.8 GPA or higher would result in graduating early… just like in CFB25 However, my senior season in each one involved full participation in the Academics tab in the weekly agenda, INCLUDING my 5th season with a school. I’ve read online that it works for some, doesn’t work for others. I think it’s beyond safe to say that this is broken, and needs to be addressed.Loiselle36 months agoSeasoned Novice662Views5likes1CommentCamera view in RTG for CBs
EA I am begging can yall please make the wide camera angle for RTG CBs wide enough so I can see my CB and the Wr I'm lined up with I'm literally getting cooked because I can't see anything the wr or my cb is doing when the ball is lined up on the strong side of the field and I'm on the weak side and vice versa please fix so I can enjoy my 6'4 cb will Pickett he's a legendBJD876 months agoSeasoned Newcomer243Views5likes2Commentsthe RB in QB road to glory is the dumbest thing on Earth
Hi EA Team, I’d like to report a serious issue with running back AI in Road to Glory when playing as a quarterback. When I hand the ball off to the RB, the AI consistently picks terrible running lanes, completely ignores open gaps, and often runs straight into defenders or blockers. It feels like the RB has no awareness of the field, making it nearly impossible to trust the ground game. This makes calling run plays as a QB extremely frustrating, especially when the blocking is solid but the RB chooses the worst possible direction every time. Please consider improving the RB decision-making logic in RTG — it really hurts the overall experience when the run game becomes unusable due to poor AI. Thanks, One of your customers who paid for the game🫠🥴 P.S. I’m still waiting for the High School fix😬p9ausr8qxm466 months agoRising Traveler638Views5likes4CommentsRTG Trophies not registering for MIKE LB
Has anyone that’s played a defensive position ever received a trophy and had it show up in the trophy room? I’ve played 4 years and received awards at the end of the year and they do not show up in the trophy room inside the RTG menu or in the trophy room at the main menu.Buckeye036 months agoRising Traveler599Views5likes17CommentsRoad to Glory is terrible
The “wide” camera angle is terrible. Playing as a CB when you’re on the outside you can’t even see what’s going on including yourself at sometimes. Same old get subbed out randomly even if you’re a 99 starter. gameplay at least in Road to Glory feels fluky and weird. Also have noticed random moments when it’s like the game takes control of my player. I’m trying to turn to the left and he’ll do like a SWAT or he’ll move a different direction than what I’m turning him to. I was hoping to get more positions this year, such as safety, tight end, edge rusher, but at this point, I think they just need to go back to college football 25 and start from there. I enjoyed college football 25 last year and was thinking this year would be even better considering how good it was since it had been so long since NCAA 14. But I was wrong, Instead of improving it has gotten worse. Continuously losing coach trust for every little thing that happens whether it has anything to do with you or not. Overall, very disappointed with the game. I’m really hoping Madden is not the same as college football because if it is, I’m going to be missing the money I wasted.697Views5likes13CommentsThis game sucks
This game sucks. Whoever designed the road to glory should be fired. You had the blueprint with NCAA 14. Just make that game with updates. Why can't we just play a full high school senior season and let the stats define our rating? This moments thing is stupid as hell. Do better EA!Coltsguy18886 months agoSeasoned Newcomer725Views5likes4CommentsHair Graphics
Yo guys. This happened in 25 too but I always thought it would be fixed in 26, just hopped on and I guess its not. Basically, the hair graphics in my game (When player creating in RTG) look like some old gen textures and it kind of bugs me. If I watch someone make their character in their version of the game its 100x better. Just wondering if there's any fix to this. ThanksiiJavertii7 months agoRising Novice578Views5likes11CommentsFix Offense Sim
Played two RTG defensive characters through and through and it seems like no matter what our offense cannot score a point regardless of how good the team is. My CB on USC would always get big stops only for our offense to go 3&out. Same goes for my LB at Notre Dame. I noticed this to be a big issue if you play defense only in Dynasty as well. Please boost this so the devs can take a look at it. It's ruining the game.562Views4likes2CommentsMike rtg
After freshman Season . Linebacker keeps being moved to edge . Multiple different saves Doesn’t seem to matter whether I transfer or not . Pass rushing controls trash . To the EA Sports College Football Development Team, As a Senior Project Manager, my job is to identify high-value opportunities, anticipate risks, and provide a clear vision for project success. I am also a dedicated College Football player who spends 100% of my time in Road to Glory (RTG). This document is not a simple "wishlist." It is a strategic analysis of high-ROI (Return on Investment) features designed to increase player engagement, long-term retention, and competitive differentiation for CFB 27 and beyond. My feedback is structured in two parts: RTG: The "Player-First" Career: A detailed proposal for transforming RTG into the undisputed best-in-class sports career mode. Core Opportunities (Dynasty/Presentation): Key community-vetted features that create a more robust and "sticky" ecosystem. Part 1: The "Player-First" Career (A Strategic Vision for RTG) RTG is currently good, but it has the potential to be a revolutionary, "forever" mode. This requires a focus on Player Agency, Universe Persistence, and Dynamic Reaction. 1.1. Feature: The "RTG Legacy" System (High-ROI Replayability) Problem: RTG has a "hard stop" conclusion. When a player is drafted, the entire save file, including its history and the player's emotional investment, is effectively deleted. This leads to mode-churn. Solution: Implement a "Legacy" option. Upon the conclusion of one player's career (draft/retirement), give the user the option to "Create a New Prospect" within the same save file. Implementation Details: This new player enters the college football "universe" as it has evolved (e.g., coaches have moved, prestige has shifted, their original player is now an "NCAA Legend"). Offer the option to skip the high school intro to balance the experience (e.g., no "intro bonus skill points" if skipped on the first RTG). Strategic Rationale: This is a low-cost, high-impact feature. It dramatically increases the "stickiness" of a single save file, enhances long-term player investment, and creates a powerful, emergent narrative engine that costs no development time to script. 1.2. Strategic Imperative: Preserve Player Agency (The Key Competitive Differentiator) Problem: Competing sports titles (Madden, 2K) are widely criticized in the community for their linear, restrictive, unskippable "story modes" and rigid player "builds." This is a significant market pain point. Solution: Protect and expand the sandbox nature of RTG. The ability for players to fully customize sliders and skill levels is the mode's single greatest strength. Strategic Rationale: This is your key competitive differentiator. By not forcing a rigid, "on-rails" story, you are directly addressing the #1 complaint of the modern sports gamer. This philosophy will attract and retain players burned out by competing titles. The "story" should be what happens on the field, not a pre-baked cutscene. 1.3. Feature: "Player-Driven Recruiting" (A Dynamic Reward Loop) Problem: The RTG player is currently a passive observer of their team's future. There is a disconnect between player performance and team building. Solution: Implement a system that enables the RTG player to become an active recruiting participant. Implementation Details: Dynamic Goals: When a key recruit (especially one in a related position, such as WR/OL) is on a campus visit, provide the player with a dynamic, position-specific goal. (e.g., "Impress 5-Star WR [Name]: Throw for 300+ yards & 3 TDs."). Player Interaction: Add a simple weekly menu option to "Host Recruit on Visit" or "Make Pitch," providing a slight boost/risk based on your player's archetypes or stats. Strategic Rationale: This creates a powerful, immediate reward loop. It directly connects on-field performance to a tangible, long-term roster-building outcome, making every "big game" feel even more consequential and increasing player agency. 1.4. Feature: AI-Driven "Narrative Commentary" (Synergistic Immersion) Problem: Commentary is often generic and unaware of the player's specific, emergent journey. Solution: Leverage AI to create a dynamic commentary system that acts as the "narrative glue" for all other systems. Strategic Rationale: This feature multiplies the value of all other features. The commentary should actively remember and reference: Legacy Players: "And that's a new record for the freshman, breaking the one set by his 'legacy' predecessor, [Player 1's Name], just a few seasons ago!" Recruiting Success: "What a connection! And folks, [My Player] was a huge reason this star freshman signed here, and you're seeing that chemistry pay off." Past Milestones: "He's back in the Heisman race, a trophy he just narrowly missed out on last season." Part 2: Core Strategic Opportunities (Community-Vetted Pillars) While I am an RTG player, a strong ecosystem enhances the entire game. These are the most-requested community features, re-framed in terms of their strategic value. 2.1. Dynasty: The "True Program-Builder" Experience Goal: Create a "forever mode" that rivals the depth of titles like Football Manager or Out of the Park Baseball. Key Features: Complete Staff Management: Hiring/firing a whole staff (OC, DC, Position Coaches) with unique skill trees and a realistic "coaching carousel."Accurate Scouting: A system based on "fog of war" scouting to find "3-star gems," not just a point-buy system. Facility/Program Upgrades: A long-term budget sink for upgrading stadiums, training rooms, and academic centers to build a program over decades. Rationale: This caters to the "simulation" player base, a highly engaged and loyal demographic that values depth and long-term planning above all else. 2.2. Presentation: A "Living, Breathing College Universe" Goal: Make the user's game feel like one part of a larger, reactive world. Key Feature: A dynamic studio halftime and weekly wrap-up show (like the old NCAA games) that shows highlights and scores from other games around your Dynasty. Rationale: This is arguably the single most-requested presentation feature. Its absence is a major immersion-breaker. Its inclusion would be a massive marketing win and a clear signal of commitment to atmosphere and realism. 2.3. Gameplay AI: "Smarter, Situational Football" Goal: Ensure long-term challenge, realism, and AI believability. Key Feature: Enhance opponent CPU logic in critical situations. Rationale: Poor AI is the fastest way to lose dedicated players, as it makes the game "solvable" and predictable. The focus should be on: 4th Down & Go-to-Go Logic: More aggression and context-awareness. 2-Minute Drill: An apparent, aggressive change in play-calling and clock management. Slider Impact: Ensure penalties (especially Holding, DPI) are effective via sliders to create realistic game-flow variance. Conclusion Thank you for considering this strategic analysis. These are not just isolated "wishes" but a cohesive vision. By investing in Agency (RTG), Persistence (Legacy), and a Reactive World (Commentary & Presentation), you can solidify College Football as the undisputed leader in sports gaming for years to come.tjmorehead2 months agoNew Novice226Views3likes3Comments
