Unable to access post.
Hi, I uploaded a new post on the SWGOH Guild Recruitment channel however I cannot access it. Is there any way to recover it? Forum Navigation - browsing posts issue
When browsing the list of posts and then reading one, afterwards either using back button or forum breadcrumbs, I’m always returned to the top of the list rather than where I was in the list that means I have to scroll back down every time to where i was - very tedious Doesn’t or can’t the forum track where I punched into a post? or is there some setting I’m missing
Access denied to a thread I was on less than 24 hours ago
Anyone ever encountered this message? I was just on this discussion thread a matter of hours ago and now I’m denied access. Is this a glitch or is EA literally trying to silence dissent? I posted to the thread but said nothing that might violate any standards, so it’s pretty weird that I suddenly can’t access it. On a related note, there was thread criticizing game lag and contesting EA assertions that it was all due to user-side internet connection that was unceremoniously closed down by the moderator over the weekend and so it certainly appears as though EA isn’t beneath trying to silence critics (even after it created these forums as the place for users to air their questions, concerns and criticisms). EA, if you’re listening, it’s not a good look when you not only don’t respond (with action) to fait critiques, but actively quash opinions that you don’t like.
Survey regarding EA Forums
For some days now, whenever I visit the Forums I get a pop-up about taking a survey about my experience using EA Forums. I click on it to take the survey, however the survey window doesn't show up, it's kind of visible in the background for a couple of seconds when I change pages, but I can't interact with it or bring it to the foreground. This is all the feedback I have for now. 😁 Tell us what do you think We’d love to hear about your experience using EA Forums.
Why Am I Not Being Notified About Things On The EA Forums?
I am following the Info Hub, General Discussion, Feedback categories. I am following the Announcement and Patch Notes tags. Everything is turned on and set to Immediately or Daily Digest in my Follows & Notifications account settings. I'm not being notified via Email about Announcement/Patch Notes posts, replies to my threads, replies to my comments, etc.
I think it's kinda sad....
That if you look at 'most viewed' or 'most replies' on the posts here; you get posts from 10 or 11 years ago. This new forum is not user friendly. I keep wondering why it was changed? Normally, if you make a change, it's for the better. But this was not. I used to be on the forums a lot. And I was here when they were just changed. And I think I've been here twice after and now today. Makes me feel sad.
Is there any chance of having polls again?
Thank you for giving us our avatars back! It makes such a difference! Now there's one more thing it would be really great to have back: polls! They were always incredibly popular on the old Sims forums and we'd love to have that functionality again. Is there any chance of being able to have them?
I like the custom avatars
I'm enjoying the new custom avatars! Thank you for adding them to EA Forums. Instructions on how to upload a custom avatar. Introducing custom avatars. | EA Forums - 12048417 I also like that my custom avatar isn't blurry. All the non Apex Legends avatars are blurry, so I'm glad custom avatars aren't blurry.
Should be clearer which discussion sections are hidden from public or not
It would be nice to see example some kind of symbol and/or clear indication it's closed discussion section. In regards to playtesting and feedback it would help avoid accidentally leaking details to the public. Also maybe some people would be afraid to post considering they are unsure if its public or closed discussion section. Unsure and don't remember how it was with AHQ but maybe it was clearer there somehow.
Can you just make the page load in one go instead of endless scroll mode?
Why do i have to scroll to load all the comments? Just load all the comments. Why do I have to click "Show More" to see more comments? Do you think I'm going to read the first 6 and then be done, nothing more to see here? Of course not. Do you understand the bare basic purposes of a Forum and how it's meant to work? This new forum rework is atrocious across the board but this is consistently annoying. Of course I want to show more.FAO Forum Mods - Knock It Off.
Forum Mods, or Admins. Please ask whom ever is in charge of these very silly NEW forum layouts to knock it off with the ridiculous "Show More" tabs. When you go into a thread you see a some comments, but then you have to scroll down and constantly click on the "Show More" text to load a few more responses, then do the same thing all over again to see more replies. It takes ages to get to the last reply to a thread, and it is really annoying. Why is there no page counter number so you can just go to the last page straight away? What clown thought this was a good idea?
Headlines should open a new tab in Bugs
It would be really helpful if clicking on a Headline in the Bug Forums opened that topic in a new tab. I can do this myself, but if I forget I have to navigate back to where I was when reading through the forum. This is because the back action takes me to the top of the forum page. If I've been scrolling through topics for a while this can be frustrating. Thanks.
