Few questions about sims mobile
I`ve just download the sims mobile apk on my tablet but looking at the gameplay on youtube and comparing it to the game its not the same. I do not have the option to create traits for my sim at the creation part,i do not have any whims above my sims head and I dont have any quests unless they unlock as you play, just curious if this is how it should be46KViews1like467CommentsMore Friends! The Sims Mobile
I'm making this post as to share my code on the forums for The Sims Mobile. You can also add players directly from the game but what if there was one sim you wanted to be friends with, came back, and they weren't there anymore? This is the place to post so someone can find you again (or for the first time). My main sim's name is Jasmine Okami. My code: CLAUXC6 Happy swimming everyone!29KViews1like317CommentsFeedback for the Sims Mobile
It appears that we need to mention the Sims Mobile in the headlines for all threads because simmers who comment from their phones often can't see the names of the forum areas. So they often just assume that all discussions are about the Sims 4 unless we mention the mobile game in the headlines. The mobile game is interesting and I have been playing it for some time. What I don't like (because I am mainly a strategic gamer) is the fact that it doesn't really matter which actions we choose even though we have to choose a huge number of actions within a short period of time. The final result seems to almost always be the same no matter which actions we have chosen because we only seem to be choosing between different animations. But why would we like to just see the same bundle of animations over and over when our choices don't seem to affect the game otherwise? I really think that the developers have to change this unless they only want us to play the game for maybe a month or two and then never again because choosing between animations soon get old, tiring and uninteresting unless our choices get a much more interesting purpose.25KViews1like272CommentsSims Mobile Feedback - Suggestions for Improvements
Hello! I have compiled a few suggestions that my friend and I have about the Sims Mobile app. The game is overall very entertaining, however there are certain aspects about the game that we feel could be improved. This is basically reiterating what I wrote in a separate post, which I will quote my comment below and add on to it more comments that my friend and/or I have. There are also glitches that we have noticed that we felt we should mention. ----------- Suggestions: "ayyitsmell;c-16478482" wrote: I finally decided to download the app so I just recently started playing Sims 4 Mobile. So, my suggestions are more like first impressions as I haven't played enough to experience or notice some of the things you might have. In my opinion, I noticed its fairly easy to lose energy and money but almost impossible to gain it back quickly, at least as a new player. The option to sell furniture. This has probably been mentioned already but I would like to have the ability to sell furniture/home items so that I could quickly make some extra money back. It could also help to clear the inventory of unwanted items that no longer match the aesthetic of the home, like old windows and counters. Basic Interactions. I think we should be able to have interactions always available to us (like "Get to Know", "Intertwine fingers", "Kiss", "Break Up", "Ask to Just Be Friends", etc). I would like to be able to do certain interactions for my sims, maybe unlock the actions depending on their story or friendship level. For example, it was weird that I was not able to have my sims kiss until the propose event (even though I would make my sims flirt and chat all the time before the event) but they were able to woohoo whenever they finally got a double bed. The kiss option only showed up maybe once or twice during that entire event. Don't know if I have to raise their friendship level for that option to be available always, but once the event ended, I can't find it anymore. More energy options. I like being able to interact with other sims, however my sims are constantly running out of energy quickly during events like dates, parties, or work events so maybe giving the sims a few more options to gain energy back, maybe by eating snacks, drinking a cup of coffee, or having an energy drink to help them out. Adding on to that point about Energy, the sims energy drains extremely quickly and their options to replenish their energy is extremely limited. For example, the refridgerator could easily be a good way to increase the sims energy as it is part of their nutrition, health, and energy source but it currently does not provide any energy points. Activities that sound like they would be restful actions, such as relaxing on the bed (nap) or recharging on the couch at the club not add to their energy level either. There was also a luxury event, where the character was supposed to just enjoy the day at home and it was kind of ironic that the event had drained all of the sim's energy even though it was literally doing anything but strenuous activities. The prices are a bit too expensive. There is a 'date night pack' that is $19.99, which is more than I pay for a stuff pack on PC. I think it is too overpriced for a mobile app that doesn't even bring half the content that is on a stuff pack. I also understand Simcash could be bought in-app, however the means to earning simcash without paying for extra simcash are very limited in my opinion. "ayyitsmell;c-16478482" wrote: Fix Animations. I agree with what you said about fixing some of the animations, like the sims stay standing up while watching a blank TV. Watching a scary movie is them standing up and laughing vs. them sitting on a couch covering their mouths or something. I also noticed that the "gluten-free vegan salad" or any dish that is being served is actually a plate of chicken. Also, the dance animation is the same moves regardless if it was supposed to be romantic or casual. To add to this point, Cake tasting was also a plate of chicken and corn. I also noticed that when I was using the stove, I clicked to bake a tasty treat and my sim began to cook a turkey in the oven, and when the action was done, she had a plate with a cookie on it. It just looks silly to me. Glitches: Unexpected Visitors. I have noticed that other sims (who are not in my household, just walking on the sidewalk) just enter my sim's house unannounced sometimes. I understand when I interact with them, they can enter my home; however, they tend to unexpectedly walk in and sit down on my couch without any interaction. Game Crashes. The game begins to slow down and it suddenly crashes. This is something that my sister, my friend, and I have experienced. Then, when opening the app again, it shows that the game didn't save anything from what you might have done that day unless you happened to have ended an event prior to the game crashing, which then it just takes you to the end of the event. Rose Lattice. When using rose lattice to kiss partner during wedding the sim gets teleported to a different spot on the lot. Videos with No Bonus Rewards. Ads mention that rewards can increase if the player watches them, however in my game, sometimes it does not provide extra rewards. There was one time where I got rewards, it showed the rewards before playing the video and then after watching the video, it took away my rewards. The option to watch videos pops up on the mailbox in front of my home or in the marketplace, but when I click it, no video plays, the option disappears, and I am left with no rewards. "ayyitsmell;c-16478482" wrote: The option to hide the beginner hints/messages. For example, when I was checking out a new outfit I had gotten in the CAS, I had received a message saying that I should throw a birthday party (first birthday event). I wasn't able to exit the bubble, slide it away, nothing. I had to force close the app since the message was in the way and I couldn't edit anything in CAS and I couldn't exit out of CAS. However, not sure if it was a glitch or not. Like I said, these are like my first impressions. I only started playing about a day ago LOL I'm not sure if these options are available in the game already (I haven't seen them), but it would be good to have them as well. o:) ----------- Overall, we love the game and enjoy playing very much! This is just some honest feedback that we feel should be mentioned to improve the game! :) P.S. Feel free to add any glitches you've noticed or suggestions you might have in this thread :)ayyitsmell7 years agoNew Spectator10KViews1like234Comments[OPEN] Sims Singles Marriage Quest
Hey Simmers! This thread is for people who want to move sims in and out through marriage. First I want to give a few warnings to those who may not know: When your sim moves out you lose them for good so be careful. You will get a message to your inbox read it carefully before accepting. If you choose to move them out you may also want to change their clothes in case you lose them (Izzy's Fashion). In order for a sim to move in you must have a open sim slot so keep that in mind when getting married. If you have any Adults in the home that you wish to promote you will need a slot for them as well. If you want your sim to move out then the other simmer must initiate a romantic relationship. If you propose the other person's sim will move in with you and your sim will not be able to be moved out. If you want to Marry a sim for move in you must start a romantic relationship with them by using the flirty options and go on a date at the coffee shop. If you start off as friends you will not be able to undo and you will not be able to marry the sim. In order to meet up with a sim after you have added them as a friend one of you must make a party and the other needs to attend and be sure to add each other to your contacts Now here's a form you can use if you are looking to get married or move a sim: Move in or Out?: Sim's Name: Sim's Traits: Sim's Gender: Sim's Sexual Preference: Sim's Occupation: About your Sim: Your Friend Code: You don't have to answer everything or fill it out at all it's just to help if you need it. If you use the Form just copy and paste. You can also post pics of your sim if you want. If you are interested in some one please quote AND mention them with @ and their name to make it easier. Have fun!7.1KViews1like189Comments- 6.4KViews1like148Comments
Suggestions For Future Updates
I know that we have so much in our inventories when it comes to the game itself on things that we are not using as we build our homes. My suggestion has all the things in the inventory in folders based on the item or event item. (Example) (Like a sofa will go in the LivingRoom Folder). This will help some and we can be able to find things that we may want later on better. This will be great for an update idea.4.6KViews1like117CommentsIzzy’s Shop Discussion
Hello Simmers! How are you liking Izzy’s Shop? I would like to share my feedback and concerns. After seeing all the cool items you could potentially get in Izzy’s Shop I decided to give it a try myself. I bought a bunch of Fashion Gems using SimCash with IRL money. After trying multiple times for a good design, my overall satisfaction wasn’t great. It is very costly to redesign items if you don’t get anything you like. 16 Fashion Gems is a bit outrageous considering you can just claim what you get and retry for 20. I understand it should cost more if you “pin” and item, but 16 Gems “no pins” is a lot. I get that these are mostly cosmetic items. EA has a right to charge whatever they feel is fair for these designs, but it seems that free to play users are at a severe disadvantage. I would be very happy if they lowered the “no pin” cost to retry a design. Currently it is only a 4 Fashion Gem discount between retrying a design, or creating a whole new design. What are your thoughts? I would love to hear them!14KViews1like111CommentsASOS Fashion Event Thread
So the ASOS Fashion event is finally here! I’ll be updating this thread daily with tips and tricks to get the most ASOS tokens! If you have any tips you’d like to share, please comment below! Also, if there are any corrections needed, don’t hesitate to let me know! Getting started Firstly, to get to the event, see the rewards and activities, press the ASOS logo found in the top right hand corner of the game. Under “Rewards” you will find lots of ASOS Clothing. Under “Activities” you will find all the activities your Sims can do to earn tokens. Also, you will notice you are able to get 20% off ASOS clothing in real life by using a code found right underneath the “Activities” tab. Remember, the event lasts for 13 days, so you have plenty of time to earn all those rewards! Event Currency The currency for this event is ASOS tokens. These can be earned by performing normal tasks such as Quick Shifts, Hobby Practice Sessions as well as Socialising with other Sims including toddlers and teens. The amount of ASOS tokens you get from doing these events will vary from 4, 5, 6 or even no tokens. Usually, you will be able to watch an advert and this will grant you a bonus +1 token. I recommend doing this as they will add up, and you need 3000 tokens to unlock everything! Catwalk This Way Quest So, the event has a 11 part quest which requires you to complete various events. Each time you will be rewarded with 10 ASOS tokens, 1 Simcash and 23 XP when you complete each part of the questline. Following this is a great way of earning more tokens. Below is each part of the questline in order: Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show (Promo Booth) Complete Fashionably Fun event with a friend Purchase some ASOS Clothing for your Sims Complete the ASOS Fashion Designer Challenge Event Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show Buy a piece of ASOS Clothing from the ASOS Prize Store Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show Complete the ASOS Marketing Campaign Pitch st the Agency Earn the Photography Career from the ASOS Prize Store. Special Events There are 4 special events you can do in the game to get ASOS tokens. These include: ASOS Promo Booth/Fashion Show Rehearsal This takes place in the Market Square and rewards you with 40 tokens and simoleons. It is a “one-time event” that keeps changing its name depending on the quest. (Every 6 hours) Fashion Design Chalkenge - Takes place at the Fashion Studio and rewards you 10 tokens and simoleons. (Every 8 hours) Marketing Campaign Pitch - Takes place at the Agency and rewards you 10 tokens and simoleons. (Every 8 hours) Fashionably Fun Friends Event - Takes place at home between two sims and rewards you with 10 tokens and Relationship points The Prize Track and ASOS Clothing How it works: The prize track will fill as you buy ASOS outfits with your tokens that you have collected. Each outfit costs a different amount of tokens, ranging from 100 tokens to 450. Pick and choose what you like but if you want to get all the rewards (see below), you will need 2200 tokens to unlock the Photography Career and you will need 3000 to unlock the special photography career story (there are 2 stories associated with the Photography Career.) Remember...you will need 3000 tokens to unlock all the outfits and complete the prize track! Rewards There are 4 rewards you can earn from buying ASOS Clothing. These are: 10 Fashion Gems 1400 Tokens: Cutting Edge Fashion Heirloom (unlocks new Fashion story) 2200 Tokens: High-End Digital Camera Heirloom (unlocks Photography Career) 3000 Tokens: Model Photography Heirloom (unlocks another story for the Photography Career) New Fashion Story After getting 1400 ASOS Tokens, the ASOS Fashion Forecast Story will unlock at the Fashion Studio. Completing this story will reward you with new clothing and furniture items as you progress through the career story, just like the other stories. The Photographer Career -The Photographer Career unlocks once you have spent 2200 tokens on ASOS Clothing. Starting the photography career is easy after you have unlocked the High-End Digital Camera Heirloom. You will need to place the Photo Studio from your inventory inside the Fashion Studio at the Market Place. Just go into the edit mode and you will find it under the Career Section to place. Once you have placed the Photo Studio, you will be able to start the career story, Focused and Fearless. -Once you spend 3000 tokens on ASOS Clothing, you will unlock a second career story for the Photography Career called ASOS Fashion Focused. Thank you for reading this thread! It took me a long time to make! If you have any other suggestions to add or any tips and tricks for earning ASOS tokens faster, let me know! For now, what are your thoughts on the event? :)12KViews1like102CommentsSims Mobile: What devices run it???
I have been looking forward to this for MONTHS, and hearing it was finally coming out today? I was delighted until when going to the app store, it said that my Android 4.4 tablet isn't compatible. I'm just wondering what devices it DOES run on, or what operating system. I really hope it's not a smartphone exclusive, because I don't have one. I'm also wondering if it's my OS, if there's a way to update it.25KViews0likes88CommentsSome helpful tips when playing Sims Mobile (updated for August 2018 patch!)
This guide is to help you make the most out of your game (these are not cheats or game exploits), but before we go into the tips let's first define the difference between Sims Mobile vs other Sims games for fans and veterans of the Sims franchise. First of all the Sims Mobile is not a Sims game. Yes it has sims in it, they speak in Simlish, and there's house designing and the same housing items that's present in Sims 4. However Sims Mobile doesn't contain the same needs you have in Sims games. In Sims Mobile there is perpetual daylight so you sims never need to sleep. They have no motives so you don't have to do anything with them including eating or using the bathroom, so you don't need a bedroom and bathroom per sim or as many chairs per sim. Instead sims in Sims Mobile have an energy bar that depletes as you use interactions and slowly builds up over time, and you can design your house the way you want without needing to accommodate for every sim in your family. Using items such as a bath or shower, bed and toilet will recover a certain amount of energy but you're limited to how many times these can be used in a day. When left to itself sims do very little besides warping around your home chatting and using objects, but these do not add any points to relationship or hobbies/careers and you may find furnishings start to break over time from overuse. Also you cannot place items or build at angles and there are currently no stairs or terrain tools, so no basements, no swimming pools, no raising or changing the colour of the grass etc. Here's a long list of tips on how to make the most of your game: Be frugal with your simcash! Simcash isn't obtained very easily in the game and after a while you'll run out of things you can buy with simoleans alone and will be needing bucketloads of simcash. Avoid spending simcash on early unlocks or event skips, wait until you've unlocked a 3rd (and 4th if you're patient enough) sim to help you out before spending simcash on objects and outfits. Only purchase what you need when asked for. We all want a fancy looking house and workplace, but during the early levels you need to discipline yourself to slow down and only buy when asked to buy it as one of your quests. If the quest isn't there then wait another day, else you could make things harder for yourself later on. You can buy items that'll help you advance your career and hobby but if they require simcash then wait until you've got enough to spare before buying it. Check your Career Order Items before doing other activities. If you're working at a place like a kitchen or fashion store you can make items that go into your Career Order Items. These cost 2 energy to make but they don't give you any pink stars creating them. You need to give the items to customers to reward you with the pink stars. If you're not sure how many you have left take a look at your Career Order Items in your Inventory tab, otherwise you could be wasting precious energy for nothing as these items do not carry over to the next event. Try to consume all your energy on all your sims before accepting an event completion. If you are close to leveling up all your sims will have their energy restored to max. Use this opportunity to do as much as you possibly can on all your sims to bring their energy down before accepting the pink tick. Check your bed/bathroom for more energy. Showers, bathtubs, beds and toilets can give you energy back and some items can enhance them even more, every little counts so splash out on them when you can. Beds can be used every 23 hours, showers every 5 hours, and toilets every 2 hours. Don't just be a stay-at-home or stay-at-work sim. Try to get yourself noticed by attending or hosting parties and handing out stickers. You'll get rewards for attending and hosting parties as they level up, so spend your time interacting and helping those parties build points. You may even make actual friendships if the player is around to chat and you can continue to chat with them regardless if you're still at their house or doing an event at a work place. Build relationships between your own sims. It's fun to make friends with other peoples' sims, but it's better to do your relationship stories with your own sims as you can then switch between them to interact with each other so that you have 60 energy to use instead of only 30. Interact like crazy with visitors at your parties. You can still earn party points and friendship points by constantly interacting with visitors with normal interactions, and you can even do this with your sims that are currently at work by calling them home. These interactions don't cost you energy so you can keep on talking to visitors without your sim getting tired. Don't worry about whether you're boring them to death with your constant natter, according to them their sims are taking a shower and eating cake. By constantly interacting you can raise your parties to level 10 and claim full rewards at the end of the party, as will everyone else who attended and gained at least 3 purple stars for participating. Breed your sims rather than creating new ones. Young sims allow you to interact with them once a day to give them a very special trait. This makes them better at all events when they age up to adulthood. You can also have relationships with other peoples' sims and townies rather than moving them in and have their child at your house where you can raise them up and add them to your household once they're adults. Always have your sims doing something. Every minute your sims are stood around doing nothing is money wasted, on top of that your sims will want to retire eventually before you've completed everything you want to do with them and if they spent half their lives doing nothing then that's a lot of time wasted. Try to stick to quick events. Quick events reward you more for your time, however if you're not able to play the game often then stick to standard or long shifts. Quick events usually last around 1 hour, standard events around 3 hours, and long events around 7 hours. Have at least 1 sim always doing long events. This is best done with a sim that is level 9+ with the event to make the most out of it. Check your heirloom collection to see what heirlooms you have that have the best boosts and make sure you give the sim those same traits and equipment matching them from Izzy's collection and set this as their main career or hobby (eg. if you got Ambitious II, Foodie III, and an outfit that has either of those on it then make them a cook and make sure they're given the Ambitious and Foodie traits, you can even gender change your sim if you only have outfits for the opposite sex.) When you're ready to hand in the event wait for the LlamaZoom van to show up and do all the events with your other sims until she asks for a long event, then you are ready to hand this one in. If you try to start the event when the LlamaZoom van is already there if you can't check in regularly to keep spending energy then chances are the van will disappear before you can finish the event and any other events following after it. Use low energy interactions at jobs and hobbies. Beware the 3 energy interactions that aren't risky. Stick to rotating between interactions that use 1 or 2 energy. Eventually you'll get told your sim is feeling a little confident. You can take the risk if you'd like but it's better to keep spamming low energy interactions until the risk bar is closer to success, even then it's not 100% chance you'll succeed. If you only spam 1 energy interactions then it'll take longer for the risky interaction to become available and the risk bar won't increase. Save cupcakes to Go Faster! Cupcakes restore 30 energy when used, but they can also dramatically reduce the time it takes to complete events when you first start them. Stock them up for the really long events and use them to half the time it takes to complete them. Don't try to do too many stories at once. Stick to 1 or 2 relationships, 1 job and/or 1 hobby. If you push for too many you won't have enough time to do them all before your sim wants to retire. If the Quest list is trying to push you to start a new career, hobby or relationship when you're not even finished with your current one then just ignore it until you either finish your current one or have a new sim, chances are your current sim won't be able to complete it before they want to retire. Watch video ads as often as you can. These 20-30 second videos will reward you with either tickets, item boosts, simoleans, or simcash. Watch the mailbox either at your home or workplace for the blue play button to appear, and if you get them as a bonus to your event definitely accept to watch them. Complete the LlamaZoom Tasks as often as you can. You'll get extra rewards for completing the LlamaZoom tasks, so prioritize these over everything else, these pop up every 4 hours after completing them. Beware of the Complete For button, this isn't to reward you with simcash but to spend it to complete the tasks! Also make sure you read up on the task properly, if it asks you to do a Standard event then that means doing the Standard event, not a Quick event, else you could just be wasting your time. Only retire your sim when you feel it's right to. Just because the game says your sim is ready to retire doesn't mean you have to retire them there and then. Wait until you've completed your career, hobby and relationship stories and then retire them. By retiring your sim they will age up and no longer be controllable, so any stories you haven't yet completed will no longer be available to continue and you'll have to start them again from level 1 with a new sim. You will want to retire your sim eventually as you will get a heirloom reward and restart quests with your new replacement sim that reward you with simoleans and simcash.55KViews1like88CommentsDo you participate in the Sticker Themes...
... or do you dress your sims however you choose to? I think the themes for this week are fun (Cool, Silly & Retro), so I decided to go along. I chose Retro for Kali, the only thing missing is some roller skates. :D https://i.imgur.com/ZHqyzKL.png3.5KViews1like81CommentsSTOP PUSHING RETIREMENT!!!!!!!!!!!
At level 16 retirement becomes an option. I'd learned from reading elsewhere on this site that retirement immediately aged your sim to elder, kicked them out of the home, inactivated said sim. I didn't want to retire my sim until she maxed her career and hobby. I was level 8 hobby and near the end of her career. And I'd declined retirement when I reached level 16. So what happens today, I send my sim to work. I'm using her energy, and unbeknownst to me her energy reached 0. Typically the screen asking to use a cake slice comes up. I was all prepared to select no. Instead, it was a retirement! I never even read the text. Next thing my sim is retired. No "are you sure" nothing. Very disappointing. Boom she's out of the home, her husband who's at work, is now being asked to retire. It's bad enough toddlers, and children aren't playable, pushing the narrative to me this game is all about YA/A this just further made me upset and disappointed. My interest for the game has dropped significantly. Once I declined to retire, the option to retire should never just pop up. It should be player initiated. This really puts me off further playing the game31KViews1like81CommentsSims Mobile - What do you think so far
I've been rather busy lately, so I did not realize we were so close to the worldwide release date. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text message a few hours ago, letting me know that the game was now available for download. What do you guys think about the game, so far? It seems to be a lot like Free Play, with some changes for the better. I couldn't really get into FP, because I did not like having to wait for activities to finish. With SM, you have options on how to complete activities. I also like the fact that going to work is an event that you can actually participate in. Your sim doesn't disappear for X amount of time. Now granted, I did not play FP very long, because I just couldn't get into it, but it does seem like this version is an improvement.3.9KViews1like64CommentsWhat's with this new update?
So an update happened. I went to do a yoga event and the option to tap and move it along was not there! It gave a "faster" option which involves spending cupcakes I dont have. When I didn't choose that option it went to the 3 hour task with no way to tap and speed it up. What is going on?!?! I hope this is a glitch.2.3KViews1like60CommentsNew update is awful, expensive & misleading
Alright so, for a warning, you need to buy the color of the item as well as the item itself. I just bought what I thought was a discounted version of an item due to the color, but, nope! EA has just stolen my sim cash. I have a color available in an item I do not own. This update is wretched. Please, reverse it.3.3KViews1like56CommentsSims Mobile!
I am so excited for the Sims mobile! This is what I've been wanting from the Sims! We had the Sims Freeplay which I hate, with its useless expensive dlc, to waiting 10 minute for your sims to eat lunch, it's just terrible imo. I've been wanting a real sims game on mobile and this game looks awesome. I know it's on mobile so they will have limitations. I will talk about my worries/things I don't like though, since the trailer didn't show us a lot. I will also say things I like. -Why are the heads so big? I know they are going for a quirky vibe but it's honestly kind of annoying -This will be different from the Sims Freeplay right? I won't play if I have to wait hours for my sims to do simple tasks like: watch tv or eat lunch -I love seeing all the stuff from the Sims 4 dlc put into the game I found that neat! -Hopefully we wont have to wait forever for babies to arrive and pay for simpoint just so we don't have to wait 24 hours But Overall I'm really excited if this a real sims game on mobile!6.4KViews1like46Comments
