@Cheese9Man yep, exactly. Sometimes you have to push in order to not get pinched. You also should push to get position in the next circle or to get better positioning. There's actually a lot of situations where you should push, you just have to plan it correctly. Now, if you're a solo q like me, you're screwed most of the time lol.

This is why I ignore my pug team mates and am on Mute. They'll push with a duo, no pings, nothing, just holding the forward move control. Then they die. Then I carry solo to a final 4 placement.Often 1 will quit before graying out, which means I get loss forgiveness and they get a hefty penalty. This is ranked, of course, but the end result is it makes it even easier to give a solo carry and not feel any pressure. If the ranked way of scoring on the way up wasn't broken six ways to Sunday, I'd play up to Diamond like 2 seasons ago, and then keep trying. As it stands, I might not last with my patience through Gold II which is where I am now. I've become disenchanted, so I play a few games a day then do something else.

It's either you push now or suffer later fighting off 2 squads. However there are randoms where your squad is already in a good position and them wanting to give it up to push a squad where they downed an enemy. This is for rank.In pubs though, we're gonna push you with a bubble push. Don't really care about winning in pubs anymore after 3 years and it's more enjoyable killing multiple squads rather than killing 1 squad to get the win. Those usual sniper kids usually don't know what to do when presented with a bubble not for defense but to attack your squad.

@hayhor As much as I love Apex, THIS is my biggest criticism of BR.Inactivity often rewards more than activity. This (in my opinion) is a facet that detracts from its competitive integrity as a shooter.

Once we see a squad with 3 snipers (especially a charge rifle), you’re getting aped. 😂

This has also been my experience. To the credit of inexperienced players who push at all times even when they're clearly at a disadvantage: it took me thousands of matches to build up the game sense to know when the push was a good idea. So I try to be patient with all the kids who are still learning. I just wish once in a while they'd listen when I try to ping them away from a bad push. But they never do.

I do not understand the need get up close and trade damage face to face with the opposition. Of course there are times when it is required but it seems to be standard procedure... Maybe I'm thinking too hard, the competitive nature in me I guess.

@RaisinFlakes Up close fighting is fun. There is an art to damaging and moving in tho that most people ignore.

You are right, if you avoid most close fights you'll let the lobby kill itself and have a better chance of winning. It's just some of us don't care about winning that much.

I am neither terribly good at nor terribly interested in poke battles. I rarely take a gun with better range than a 301. When my team is sitting up somewhere taking potshots, for an extended time, I'm usually just crouched behind cover waiting for the opportunity to close the gap. I play frequently with a buddy who loves his snipers. I find it frustrating, mostly. Very rarely do his efforts lead to winning a team fight. He might get a knock that we're in no position to capitalize on, usually, unless I've been able to work out a flank to do so.

@RaisinFlakes Being confident in your squad’s ability to push sometimes bring fear to people who keep sniping.

1. Sniper kids only has 1 gun when up close.
2. I’m a Gibby main and if we’re going to fight 1v1 I’m always gonna win if I don’t miss my shots. Fortified perk + gun shield = success.

There are countless ways to win in this game not only third partying and poking mid-long range. This is one of the reasons why I love the game. I suggest watching streamers in masters/pred and observe when they’ll have to push.

I guess I forgot to mention that I’m always in a pre-made squad and attacking the other squad is a unanimous decision so we’re all in the same page. There are a lot of variables that can go wrong too.
- As a Gibby I’m useless attacking your squad without a mobility legend teammate.
- You approached the squad and POI incorrectly.
- There are multiple teams in that POI. This is where a recon legend comes in handy.
- The squad you attacked is just better than you.

100% agree. The farther away I can stay while doing damage, the less likely they are to be able to damage me back. I absolutely love it when I'm frying some kid with a charge rifle and he's trying to decide which of his guns will work better at 100 meters, shotty or r-99.
