5 months and multiple patches/updates later and this issue is still occurring. Just got off 3 hours of chatting/issue resolution with EA help. This is the update that they gave me at the end of the time trying (and failing) to fix this issue: "Evidently, this is an on-going issue with the game at the moment. Just like you, hundreds of thousands of players are also impacted by the same situation. Good news is our game teams are on it. They're literally working on a fix as we speak. It won't be long before this gets taken care. Once that happens, this'll be resolved not just for you but for all affected players. We never expect something like this to happen."
Leaving this here as hopefully anyone else with this issue can interact and potentially get the devs more involved in fixing. Until then, just sad that I can barely play the game I love. Especially with the new event, was just about to buy all the remaining packs smh
