Apex Legends Taking Up Most Memory and Taking Battery While Plugged In

While I was trying to play Apex Legends my laptop shut off, even though I have played countless times before without this problem. When I restarted my laptop after letting it cooldown, I started Apex Legends back up then checked my task manager to see that it had been taking up most of my memory and somehow started taking up charge while it was plugged in. It had been recently cleaned, and I have never encountered this problem in the past.
