Changing my EA account linked to my Playstation account.

I have a pretty old EA account that I can no longer access to the email to. Literally the email has been deleted. I bought a PS5, logged in via my PS profile and set it up. Went to open Battlefield, which requires an EA Account password. It informs me that I haven't logged in for so long that my password has been reset and I need to check my email. It is the email I do not have access to. So I went to EA chat and they wanted some impossible info, like the IP address it was last used on. That was 6+ years ago, can't possibly determine what the IP address was at that time.

It would appear I just need to start with a new EA account. To do that though I need to unlink my old EA account from my Playstation account...where or how do I do that? I've looked in settings and Googled, but I haven't found a clear answer or anywhere that looks like it is possible.

As far I'm aware, it's not possible to unlink a platform account from an EA account without access to the EA account.

You'll need to try and get access to your account back, so it might be worth a shot to contact EA Support again.

It's possible that they are asking for the last login location you used that account on, it's possible that they might be using your location to determine whether or not you are the rightful owner.

IP's tend to by dynamic nowadays, so it's not really possible for you to tell them what your IP was at the time, but it's possible that they might've meant the location you usually logged in from.
