character movement

My curser and character moves up and down by itself. I bought a brand new xbox series x so I knew my controller doesnt have stick drift and this only happens in Apex. someone please help. From left to right there are no issues but for example if you move 3 steps forwards or backwards and then stop moving the character still moves forward for ever. Same thing when looting death boxes or the circular sphere for selecting items in game (kind of like the mouse for keyboard) just keeps going up or down and its impossible to select loot

    @King0993TV I have an xbox 1S and there is a setting to increase the dead zone. Try this to completely eliminate stick drift. Jic it's is stick drift and if it is you may need to return the controller.

    Hi I know I dont have stick drift since I dont get it in any other games (or BR games) Ive also tried changing the dead zones but its not doing anything. I think the issue happens when I open the game since the moment I open apex the controller is registered as moving and since it also does it in the main menu it has nothing to do with dead zoness.

    @King0993TV I get a drift to the right and down on opening the game, but as soon as I move the stick it stops. Is that what you are experiencing when you open the game?
