I understand that you have linked your platform account to your EA account only recently. Based on the information from our website, to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged.
If you have unlinked your Xbox account from another EA account that will only reset your account's progress. There is currently no way to merge two separate EA accounts together and move progress to a different account.
