Error message "It looks like you do not have access rights" on install -PC

Whenever I try to launch the installer the following message pops up:

"It looks like you do not have access rights to play this game. Please visit the game's website, sign up and try again."

The following thread seems to also be describing the same issues, but I can't find a solution that solves this problem for me.

The only potential issue I can think of is that my region is South Korea, but I can't find a 'supported regions' list anywhere on the Apex or EA websites, which would lead me to believe that the game should be supported globally? The following thread has a group of similarly confused customers based in Asia, one of whom (Talabijones) say they can play on PS4, but (as it is in my case), on PC the game does not even show up in the EA client store, nor on the EA website,

When I try to launch the ApexLegendsInstaller.exe, downloaded form the game's official website, I get the error message as shown in the attached file. Any solutions?

Shows no Connection to the game from Asia whatsoever; I'm dissapointed that there was no indication of regional availability/unavailability on the website, but perhaps this thread will save someone else in East Asia some time. EDIT: that said, korean is listed as an official language for the game, so... staggered release?

Final edit: workaround is to use a VPN, add to library from the US store and then download. It works perfectly once its in your library, crappy tat that step is even necessary, but hey; the game itself is fun, free and worth the hassle. I hope this thread helps someone, peace!
