Freezing/Hang Loading into game or into lobby when playing cross-platform

I’ve found whenever I play cross play with my friend (PS5) and I’m playing on my Xbox One, I continue to have freezes/hangs when loading into games with him or loading out back into the main menu. 

I have clips of this happening for both sides but am unable to attach them. 

Whenever this happens I’m forced to exit the game and re-log. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled, the issue still persists. I have queued many solo matches and this issue never happens unless I am queued with a cross plat player. Please have a fix as this is putting a sour taste in my mouth for wanting to play the game.
