My game is constantly crashing on PC since the recent final fantasy update, I've checked my drivers, fully rebooted my pc and nothing seems to work. It will launch all the way until the cinematics then I get a quick black screen then the game closes. Not sure what to do next.

Are you running on the DX12 version of the game?
It seems like there is an issue with the DX12 version where it may crash due to some issues with the files.
Switching back to DX11 seems to fix the issue, so that might be worth a shot.
I have exact same problem
after the update i see the intro of Apex then black screen and crashes closes the game.
i did repair EA app repair game restart unistall the game , even i did format the whole pc
nothing helps same problem
any one fixed it?
I've not seen anyone fix their issue by doing that -- what you're describing is a separate issue
