Downloaded the game on PS4 and when it starts I immediantly get a message saying "This account is invalid. Please visit EA.com for more information." What does that mean? Is it because I need an origin account to play? Theres no log in screen or anything just this error message on the main game screen. Can't play at all and if I hit retry I get the same message!!

I've spent the last three nights on various chats and phone calls with EA support trying to get this problem solved. 4 of the 6 different people I've spoken to have all given me the same useless advice (despite me telling them up front that I'd done those things to no resolution), 2 of them hung up on me, and the last one told me to contact Sony about this as if it's their problem.
I don't know what kind of operation you guys are running over there, but this is absolutely insulting that a 5 billion dollar company is shipping games tied to a decrepit online platform blocking users from playing, and no one in the company actually has any power to actually do something about it short of deflecting.

Didn’t check to see if this was a dead topic or not but an easy fix I found was deleting the game data(not the actual game) it’s working for me after I tried that(I also uploaded the info prior to that)

I'm having the same exact problem with Battlefront 2 which I was playing just a couple of months ago and now I'm getting that error code. I've tried contacting EA and giving them all the info I can twice and both times they said it wasn't enough info to verify my account and they "resolved" my case....but I still cant play multiplayer on Battlefront 2 or Madden for that matter

@Devonb27 Saying the same thing , they tryna give that verification excuse like we all wasn’t just playing the game or to make it look like we did something smh
