No keyboard controls or mouse buttons

Question

So this started happening about 24 hours ago and continues to persist. When a matches load I don't have any keyboard control or mouse control. When i'm at the jump screen there is usually an Icon of what button to push to ping or jump, but intead there is a box with a line through it. when we lead I can't move my character around. I can move the mouse around and get it looking in a different direction, but I can't ping. Keybaord isn't working at all, not even for chatting. however i can hit escape to leave the game. Below are screenshots of missing icons we are use to seeing. has anyone seen this before?

HeyHave you been messing with your files?Deleting / adjusting the wrong game file could lead to this issue.If resetting your controls doesn't work, try repairing the game.

@Zeelmaekers Nope, haven't been messing with anything.

@Zeelmaekers repairing didn't fix it but I figured it out. All the key mapings were cleared. there were not associated keys to actions. I clicked on restore defaults and everything works now.
