Sorry to hear that you are having issues @JackOfTales, can you grab a DxDiag and share it: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/
Are you seeing issues with any other games?

Here's the dxdiag. And no, I don't have these issues with other games.
- 7 years agoSince you have a laptop you need to set all in your power management to high performance.. Battery management, Nvidia control panel etc.. Some intel cpu have turbo boost (i have and I'm on desktop I'm sure you have it enabled).. Can you try and see if your cpu is bottlenecking at 2.5ghz and not turbo boosting to 3.5ghz?.. I wouldnt recommend overheating your laptop by overclocking or whatever.. It's too much heat and most laptops dont have adequate cooling for that small package

Already have the relevant settings in Nvidia Control Panel set to high performance. A lot of people were saying the game was using integrated graphics instead of their dedicated card, so that was the first thing I checked. And yes, my turbo boost comes on automatically. In fact, I'm still hitting 100% cpu most of the time.

Also having this issue, I have two desktops, one has a GTX 960 4gb the other has a 1050ti, both near identical cards. The rig with the 960 runs buttery smooth 1080p barely any lag, yet with the 1050ti rig runs terrible, as little as 20fps in the drop in sequence, and that’s everything on its lowest, even 720p. Already made all the checks to make sure it’s using the dedicated gpu, max performance settings etc, no use. Don’t understand how cards so similar have such different performance in apex. And yes, every other game on the 1050ti rig runs fine
