Random FPS and frametime drops

Hello everyone. I bought RX 5700 XT in the spring and I just can't get it to work normally with the apex. I have already tried a bunch of everything - I bought additional high-frequency RAM, overclocked the video card, updated the driver, reinstalled the OS 5 times - nothing helped.

PC specifications:

Ryzen 5 1600 3.9GHz

16 GB of RAM in dual channel 3000MHz

RX 5700 XT

Cougar GX-S750W

SSD 60GB from Aliexpress and HDD WD Blue 1TB

What I tried to do:

Reinstalled windows multiple times

Changed the SSD

Changed the RAM to high-frequency ones

Updated drivers

Changed Radeon Control Panel settings

Locked FPS at 60 through RivaTuner (if you lock FPS, then there are no problems, except for constant freezes with a stable fps of 60. The graph shows a straight line, while on the screen it feels like 15 fps, and this with a polling period of 100 ms)

Locked FPS via Scanline Sync (the same as if you just lock it, only the input lag becomes larger)

FPS does not fall below 90, while friezes and jams are constantly felt

-In other games, there is nothing like this, it's only in the apex

-Videocard is never loaded 100 percent even on ultra settings, the processor is never loaded 70-75 percent on any settings

-Nothing overheats, no programs in the background interfere, iron is able to pull the game without lags, but it just does not pull

-It used to be 1050ti, fps was often below 60, while some update generally dropped it to 30

-After disabling TSAA and smth else I got rid of input lag, but FPS is still bad.

I don't know what to do anymore. There is nothing more to play. If anyone had such a thing or anyone knows what could be the matter, please tell me. Thank you.

  • @o1pwer ok man.. been trying out some different v-sync settings and adaptive v-sync works best imo.. best clarity and less input lag..

do you have any information on your connection? ping/latency etc.. these really affect how smooth your game runs

I understand that high ping may cause teleportation and movement jitter, but my stutters are FPS stutters. vsync isnt an option for me because it increases already high input lag

  • is there a way that EA will fix this buggy "game" one day?
