Another option that may help is setting a different DNS on your PS4. I've seen some cases where that can also make a difference. To update the DNS settings on the console follow these steps: 

1. Open up the Settings on your PS4, then go to Network. From there go to Set Up Internet Connection, and select either WiFi or LAN cable depending on what you're using.

2. Select Custom > IP Address Settings (Automatic) > DHCP Host Name (Do Not Use) > DNS Settings (Manual)

3. Enter the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4 -- This is the public Google DNS, but if there's a different open DNS you would rather use that's OK as well. 

4. Select Next > MTU Settings (Automatic) > Proxy Server (Do Not Use) > Test Internet Connection

I reinstalled the game, and it was good for about 4 hours. 

I booted up today and got hit with "Party member preloading". I changed the DNS(I usually use Open DNS), but no change. I have done everything, and followed every instruction.

I never have issues with other games.

edit: i can invite friends to my party, but I can't ready up or leave afterwards.

Does it seem like this is happening when you squad up with certain friends, or is it just any time you're in a group?

Any group. Also when I queue solo.

It seems the game has issues with my internet connection( I use an ethernet cable). 

I decided to try using a mobile hot-spot, and everything was seamless.

Instant matchmaking, no delay of any kind. 

I really don't know what to make of it ☹️

I'm also having the same issues even after troubleshooting. The cycling and rebooting only works for so long then I have to do it all multiple times a day. No matter who I play with or what servers we are on with pings as low as 62 still this happens. Or either they go into a match and I'm left in the lobby stuck while it shows me players not ready. And later changes to them in a match and I'm left behind.

Hmmm, I see. 

If it's not happening when you're connected via hotspot it must be something in your local network. Do you have multiple consoles connecting to the same network?

Sorry, I took a month off the game. I couldn't deal anymore.

I returned, expecting to hop back in with my friends.

"Party not ready", "Party 0/0"

I love this game to pieces, however, I can not spend an hour fiddling with it, just so I can play ONE game- then do it over again. 

I appreciate your effort, however, this issue is from the codebase,  not me.

There is a post with 37 pages- complaining about this issue, yet it hasn't been noticed.

There is only so much people can take.

I am experiencing this issue currently on PS4 I followed all the steps in the link provided. I changed my DNS settings to what u provided in the chat before. Is there something else I can do? Please help this is very frustrating

If it's not happening when you connect via mobile hot spot it sounds like the issue might be somewhere in your local network. If you're connecting over wifi, would it be possible to try connecting with a LAN Cable instead? That way we can eliminate wifi issues as a possible cause.

This * is getting old. This is An Apex problem. No matter whose internet I’m on, it’s the same * bug. Evil Arts is terrible

Also getting this consistently. Anytime I queue with my PC and XBOX friend for two games,  I then get locked out and am unable to play. My nametag just says "Player" and although I can see party invites from my friends I can't join. I have to wait serveral hours, and then all the sudden it's back to normal. Once I'm locked out I can't even open firing range or solo queue by myself.

I understand crossplay is in beta, but I didn't think playing with my friends would lock me out of the game. I pay for battle pass and feel like I can't complete it when I have limited playtime, and then get locked out.

Happy to provide any additional info to get this fixed cause it sucks. bwm115 is my account name. I'm on wired internet, DNS stuff doesn't matter, tried it. Application reboot, console reboot, joining different servers. Doesn't work.

bro, I have found the ultimate fix...I uninstalled the game and the origin client and installed the game with the steam launcher and signed in with my ea account...now it has no bugs...

I’m also having this issue and none of the troubleshooting steps or changing of my internet settings have had any effect on the error. This is extremely frustrating to me because this is my second account I’m using after my original account became unusable with the game stating “my ea account expired” and multiple emails sent to support went unanswered.

I’m having the same issues. And this has been going on for a few months for me. At random times I’ll start up the game and I’ll have Player where my PSN should be. And when that happens I can literally do nothing. I’ve done the steps. Even changed the DNS. It still happens more frequently that I would like and it’s very irritating. 

I've been having this issue now for a week straight. I was able to play this morning but as soon as I got he from work it's doing it again.

Same problem on pc and I tried everything. 

I uninstalled the game for 3 times and installed again(Steam and Origin) 

I reset my internet and modem 

I tried wifi

I tried LAN cable

I verified the game files on Steam and Origin 

Please someone help me

Do you know if this is only happening on one specific account? Have you tried logging in with any other accounts to see if you're running into the same issues?

I've got the same problem but no fixes. I feel like I've tried it all. Restarting the game, reinstalling it, trouble shooting steps, dns, server hoping, trying to join a friend.

Im also having this glitch after i tried all the troubleshooting stuff its just annoying now. Also im on ps4 

This glitch is happening on my Nintendo switch and my ps4. It’s extremely frustrating and I’m getting to the point where I do not want to continue playing

Hello EA I really enjoy apex but it is currently March 29th and I'm pretty sure you guys just released a patch to fix this player glitch but I still have it and there are 34 days in the battle pass if I remember correctly and I have bought it and with this player glitch I found that the only way to fix it is to delete my game and reinstall it and with my wifi it takes about 1 to 2 days and once it downloads  I can play one session with my friends witch is about 1 hour to 2 hours and I don't think I can finish  it with how things are currently going and I was wondering if there are anyways to fix this or am I screwed
