Stutter/fps
Hi all. I installed apex on my old pc for my son to play on. the game ran perfectly fine 144-90 fps on medium settings.
today i bought him a 144hz gaming monitor.

What kind of monitor is that exactly? Adaptive sync can be useful when the fps are not stable and keep dropping below the frame rate, too.

Nevertheless, it sounds strange that the game keeps stuttering for 1-2 seconds, so other causes could also come into question. Nevertheless, I would now first follow the approaches in the article before considering too much at once.
Basically, the FPS should not be undercut on a monitor with a fixed update rate, as this then leads to stuttering.
Another possibility would be to set the monitor to 90hz, for example, if the FPS in the game are on average around this value (if adaptive sync is undesirable for any reason).
The most freesync/gsync monitors have an option in the screen menu to enable/disable vrr.
