[SUGGESTION] Community revival
In short the previous titles and most notoriously Battlefield 2042 were built without any sense of community building. The removal of the scoreboard(lmao), the removal of chat(lmao), the removal of the default server browser, the removal of platoons/clans, the removal of actual leaderboards and player profiles, the limiting of parties to 4 people and so on, you get the gist. Below I will list a few suggestions that I think will go a long way to solving the problem of the non existent community engagement and interaction.
- With the recent announcement that DICE has heard our pleas about Platoons are a step in the right direction, but it is not enough. While solo playing should be encouraged, it should not be at the expense of squad/friend play.
- Please for the love of god include an actual server browser and stop feeding us the same lie that we have one when we do not. THE PORTAL BROWSER IS NOT A DEFAULT SERVER BROWSER.
- Remove the party size limit. I have a combined 2000 hours across most Battlefields and in all those hours never have I faced the problem of round balance being an issue when more than 4 friends play together. If that is the case then Squads should have the ability to talk to each other which I think they already do.
- Add Platoons that can actually play together.(Probably already being developed so I won't go into detail on this.)
- Add official leaderboards for weapons, KD, specific vehicle kills and so on. The same we had on Battlelog.
- Add player profiles(not sure if already a thing) that we can interact with through the scoreboard or through said leaderboards, so that we can actually engage with each other as a community.
To conclude while the easiest thing to suggest is we get Battlelog back I know that it will never happen so these suggestions will lead to a healthier and longer lifespan of the game. Getting the community to be able to interact with each other and the game in a more deep and meaningful way is the way to go forward. A more active community means, more attention, more attention bring in more players, more player brings in more money for EA and Dice since the only way to get things into the game is if they bring money which is understandable. I do not know why we went this way the last few Battlefield titles, but since we are going back to form and recovering from previous titles I think that this is a good thing to suggest. If anyone feels that some suggestions are impossible or need altering feel free to discuss below so we can get attention.
