I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA APP to play Sims 4. Tried using Epic Games app to play and nothing seems to work. A error message comes up with the above error code. We had a problems with the wifi and had a new router installed in the house. I have restarted the connection to the new wifi and the same error coed comes up. I have troubleshooted everything possible! I'm not technically inept and this is stumping me. I'm using a Mac with the newest update Sequoia 15.5 (correct as of the 26th June 2025).
Any help would be very much appreciated. I'm out of ideas.

Hi — I’m also experiencing the exact same issue: EC:105 on macOS (Sequoia 15.5). From what you described, I believe the code you saw might’ve been a typo — this sounds just like what I’ve been dealing with.
I’ve done a full uninstall/reinstall of the EA App and The Sims 4, cleared all cache, deleted Mods, CC, Tray and Saves, and even tested on a completely fresh macOS user. The EC:105 error still appears every time I try to access the Gallery or even open “My Library,” even in a brand new save with a clean install and no mods.
At this point, it’s clearly not a local problem — it’s something tied to my EA account and cloud-based gallery data.
Here’s my full thread documenting the issue and everything I’ve tried:

You're definitely not alone in this.

thank you for the reply, I definitely feel like I'm not losing my mind, seen as though you're having the same problem. I have tried to contact EA, but with no avail. So I'm wondering how this is going to resolve itself if we cannot report the problem?

EC:10005 and EC:105 errors are two different errors. For the EC:10005 error, we have an ongoing thread about it here: https://forums.ea.com/discussions/ea-app-technical-issues-en/info-request-error-code-ec10005-in-ea-app/12177209.

Thank you. But this doesn’t resolve how one might be able to bypass said error code and actually play the games that have been purchased. 😩

Im having the same problem repeated error code 10005 no matter what I do to try and troubleshoot or fix the issue doesn't work. I can't report it to EA either because when I use the reporter directly from the file that fails as well.

Yes! Exactly this! How are we meant to report it if there’s nowhere to go. It’s insane! I’ve spent so much money on sims4 and can’t even play it.
