6 Month Wait to Relink Account

I have paid for a lot of DLC for the sims 4 on steam. recently I created a family account on steam so my daughter could play games too. I didn't know that EA was even more greedy than I initially thought and that they have blocked any kind of family sharing in the hopes that you buy everything more than once. I accidently linked my daughters steam profile to my ea account not realizing that all my DCL would be blocked. now after spending days with "support" who cant actually do anything and just keep saying "try to understand" over and over I am told to wait 6 month to access content that I HAVE PAID FOR.

    Unfortunately, if this has occurred, then we can't get around it or speed it up. Understand that it is frustrating and we will pass the feedback on to the team.

    Yeah thanks, real good support. I made a mistake and get punished. I bought your product and now you say I cannot use it for 6 months due to a mistake I made. this is an absolutely useless response and provides no solution apart from wait 6 months. EA you should try keep your customers happy.... you are losing them and declining due to your constant money grabs. Your service is a joke and its clear you do not value customers. I was half expecting someone to say "you have to wait 6 months for a solution...... or if you give EA $100 we will fix it for you now." - I guess this is the only time EA isnt trying to milk me.

    Hey nicktor90​ it is a solution as it provides all the information we have around the issue.

    A solution on the forums does not mean a fix, it can simply mean that all the relevant info has been shared.

    Please do not unaccept solutions as doing so is not allowed.

    EA_Darko​ still not a solution mate, don't mark it as one. The fact that there is no way for anyone to bypass this is a joke. I have a family steam account and unfortunately this is what has screwed me over in the end as i wasn't aware that EA has an issue with family steam accounts. Not that EA care. That's all well and good that "these restrictions are there for a reason" but to have no solution for your customers that have either made a mistake or had their account hacked etc just shows how much EA care. Please only mark as solution if you find a way to actually help me. I have an 11 year old who just wanted to play bloody sims 4 with all the over priced DLC we have purchased over the years and now I cannot even access any of it at all. Could you point me in the direction of the Australian ombudsman who manages these complaints, then that way it will cost EA more than just giving me what I paid for. Ta

    Going to go ahead and lock this nicktor90​ as otherwise we will be going around in circles.

    The 6 month wait is called out in our help articles, and it is not something that we can bypass for you.

    I understand that the situation is frustrating, and I have passed the feedback on to the team around this.
