- SENlSTR2 years agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo Yep, thought there was restrictions based on age of the account holder. And parents will just create accounts for children and not restrict this and cry foul when something happens that wasn't suppose to, but the company can be protected by their TOA when they signed up. Thank you for showing where that article is.

You're very welcome. If you have any other issues, please let us know.
This is certainly the case for FIFA23 and FIFA22
This is not the case for EAFC24 however.
The game is advertised on the PS Store as a PEGI-3 game yet it cannot even be LAUNCHED on PS4 unless the child account is set to an age restriction level of 12+
Even if parental controls are relaxed completely, this does not allow a child to play any of the online aspects of the game. Again, this is not the experience with FIFA22 or FIFA23.
EA Sport FC24 is NOT following the PlayStation 4 parental controls.
I am having the same issues.
This needs to rectified immediately.
I have relaxed all parental controls and still its not working for my son the game is rated a 3 and therefore should have access at aged 11.
he has also not received any of his rewards!!
This wasn't the case on FIFA 23!!!!
I don't think this discussion is resolved.
The linked information contradicts what people are actually seeing. My Son saved a lot of money to play this, and following being able to play Fifa 23 with no issue, I thought nothing of it. He is however unable to play any online content in this game, despite being configured in parental settings on playstation that he is able to play online.
All of the playstation settings remain the same from last year, and in fact, he can play it on the PS5 without issue. Why the difference?
@EA_Aljo wrote:Hello, @Albino-Fish00
Child accounts are restricted from online play if they are under the age of 13. You can find more information on this here.
This cannot be the case, EA is selling the game as PEGI 3 and in FIFA 23 and previous children under 13 were allowed to play (my kids were doing it...)
I'm expecting EA to correct this immediately, if this is what's been keeping my son out of the game for the past over 10 days!!!
@EA_Aljo can we please have an update on this issue?
EA is not following the parental control settings configured on the PS4 console platform, despite advice from yourself to the contrary.
When will this be resolved please?

I'm not aware of any issues with this. Child accounts under the age of 13 are not able to partake in multiplayer modes. Offline modes are playable for all ages though. This is intended.
- @EA_Aljo offline modes are not playable on PS4 unless your age restriction is lifted to 12+
Also, as you rightly point out, EA supposedly follows the parental restriction settings of the console. Where online play has been granted to an account younger than 13yrs old this is not being honoured by EAFC24. I reiterate that this experience is completely different to that which is experienced with FIFA22 and FIFA23.
Also to make it perfectly clear You can't even launch the game unless your age setting is set to 12+, despite it being a PEGI-3 rated game! @EA_Aljo from the EA websire that you posted in this thread previously.
This is not the experience currently with EA Sports FC24 on PS4.
Please advise.

You can click on the + sign as seen in the screenshot here to view the age limits in each country.
We cannot change this as we have to comply with the regulations of each country.
@EA_AljoYes, I have read that and for the UK it is 13 years old, but that does not matter if I set the parental restriction to higher than 13years old for any PS4 games except EA FC24.
And per your previous comment, there is also no restriction to play offline, however this is also not the case. You can't even launch the game unless your age setting is set to 12+
Please explain. Thanks for the information. However, the EA support says on the chat that this is well known issue and it has already been solved for some users (why only some??). So, I hope it will actually be solved for all users very soon!
I am not sure this is an EA issue, as I have set my childs account to unrestricted many years ago and he cannot download / install Fortnite!
So upon purchasing FC24 without any knowledge of this setting in PS4 / FC24 I had not idea this was going to become another issue.
So where ever the problem lies either Sony or EA (or both) it HAS to be sorted out and quick as this pretty much renders the game useless!!!Same issue here. My son can’t even update the squads since online services are restricted. This pretty much bricks the game. What’s the bloody point of spending all this money on a game when basic features are restricted based on nonsense reasons?
I also have this problem. Bought Playstation plus, where every user on the console should get online access. Lifter restrictions on child's account on PS4. Lifted them on EA account. Still my son cannot use online services on FC 24. He wants to have updated squads and be able to use UT and play with friends. How can this be so hard to access? Do I need to set up a fake adult account for him? Isn't that more harmful than easing restrictions on his child account? It should be possible to play online and still have restricted buy and chat options.
Has anyone gotten resolution to this? My child cannot access any of the EA Sports features that require connecting to the server. Ruining the game and getting no support from PS or EA.
Same here. 11 year old son who got this for Christmas and cannot access any network features. Farcical.
Hallelujah!!!!! I finally fixed it!
I was about to give up on this as Ive tried every combination of parental controls available.
FC24 will only let your child play online if their Playstation Network account is aged 13 or over. It doesnt matter what your parental controls are set to.
To make it work, simply set up another PSN account and make sure your child is at least 13 and it will work.
You can always control age limits on other software through Parent Controls on the PSN app.
Voila! I have a very happy boy now.
Crazy thing is he only wanted to update the squads and wasnt really bothered about playing online. LOL
The more farcical point is that what you did is what loads of other people do, completely circumventing the previously mentioned "regulations", rendering them humiliatingly pointless.
I don't disagree with what you did btw.
It’s December for me and my son has level 11 which is the max setting and he still cannot play Apex with me and my gf
Has someone found a solution??
Has the EA moderator disappeared without suggesting any solution? That’s a joke.
Me and other parents (and children) have the same problem. We have 5 boys aged 10-12 who can’t play together although the parental restrictions on Ps4 for communication are not restricted.
Can EA give us a solution to our problem??
or can someone help us fix it 🙏🏼
Can you help us fix the issue??
Me and other parents have 5 boys aged 10-12 who can’t play together. Why??
The communication parental controls on PS4 are set on “don’t restrict”.
Is there any settings to change on EA?
Thank youHi,
