Personal Settings & Controller Issues

What problem are you having exactly? Maybe we can help here, or better point you to where you can get some help for your issue.

My profile save hasn’t loaded since last night. After my computer crashed, the game started showing a save file with no name—only a date—and it never loads no matter what I try. I’ve already done an app recovery, uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App, and followed every fix I could find online. I even renamed the saved‑game folder to force the app to refresh it, but nothing works. It feels like all my progress is lost, and I just can’t get the profile to load again after the crash

Besides the save‑file issue, the game also crashes almost every time my controller disconnects and reconnects. When it reconnects, FC treats it as a new controller instead of recognizing it as the same one I was already using. Because of that, I often can’t continue the match, or the game crashes immediately. This happens repeatedly every single day.

I’m not sure if this problem is related to the corrupted save, but together they completely ruin the experience. And this controller‑reconnection issue isn’t new — it has been happening since FC24.

What do you mean exactly by your profile save? Is this your Personal Settings file you pick when you first load into the game?

As for the game crashes, do you get any errors when that happens, or does it just crash straight to desktop with no warning?

Yes the personal setting I guess. For the game crashes, it happens more that the controller keeps disconnecting than a crash. I believe the crash might be cause by multiple tasking

And yes I get nothing but the "crash noise" and a  windows restart

Well if your personal settings file is corrupted, the good news is that you can delete and remake it without much issue. You'll need to remake your custom controller settings and will lose your progress in your skill games (Which can both be a pain), but otherwise it won't affect your progress in modes like clubs, career, ultimate team, etc. That one's a relatively easy fix.

Do you have controller issues in other games too, and do you have another controller you can test this with? It's definitely odd behaviour, and it's not exactly the most common, so I'm wondering what could be happening in the background that causes this. Could you share a DxDiag? Hopefully there'll be something in there that points to the issue.
