UT constantly freezing and struggling to load

My game has been basically unplayable this year because the game is constantly freezing and often struggles to load, particularly when moving between the menus on UT.

I have tried clearing my cache, deleting all console and cloud save files, reinstalling the game and pretty much everything else. I have a very strong internet connection with the highest speed possible and have no problems with any other game. It is quite clearly an EA FC issue. 

I’ve seen many people complain about the same thing and seemingly there is no solution. I spent £100 on this game for the pre-order. If it can’t be fixed I am surely entitled to compensation?

    Alright I just checked the latest games also on the EA connection report site and all latest matches had an above 95/100 score. And it shows packet loss at 0.02%.

    But still I get the unstable connection warning for all those games although no packet loss seemingly is recorded on the server. But I will also look into my router settings but is there any explanation for this or known causes?

    It doesnt show packet loss but it seems like im still experiencing it. Theres no issue with the internet coming in either but it started after the latest update to the game.

    But I'm on a wired connection and using a PS4

    While a 96 is great, if it's showing packet loss, that's going to cause disconnects and lag. Are you on a wired or wireless connection?

  • It doesnt matter what type of connection someones using. I ran the EA connection quality report, I have a 96/100 and "great" grade in each box. Yet I still face packet loss and "unstable connection" warning in-game.

    I use ethernet and have 8ms ping when accepting the game but every single match has 10+ spikes.

    While your speed is fine, wireless is typically not. It's an unstable connection and prone to disconnects/lag. As a test, can you try switching to a wire to see if your connection improves?

    Hi there. I’m on PS5 and using a wireless connection, but I have over 500mbps and never have any issues with my internet in general or on other games. It appears to be a very specific problem with EA FC. 

    Recently, the menus have been freezing and struggling to load so much to the point that the game has become completely unplayable. Sometimes the game becomes completely frozen and I have to close the app down. Other times it will take literally 5 minutes to load one screen or switch from one tab to another. 

    I never have lag in games, but I am randomly being disconnected quite frequently when I have no internet issues whatsoever. This has happened in Champs games I have been winning, which has cost me a lot of points/tokens. In my last Champs, for example, I was disconnected from 3 games I was winning, even though there was no issue with my internet. I am therefore convinced that the issue with my slow and freezing menus is in some way linked to these disconnects as well.

    Can you tell me more about the freezing? Does it unfreeze at some point? Are you lagging in matches? Thanks!
