Throwback to 24.12.25, when EA’s automated detection system flagged thousands of PlayStation accounts for “balance transfer.” After 8–10 hours, they fixed the issue and unbanned everyone with a single click. Everyone thought the problem was resolved, the Wildcards promo continued, and the money kept flowing.
Now, three weeks later, guess what’s happening on PC? Exactly the same thing that happened on Christmas Eve.
Multiple accounts in my community have been banned over the span of just two days. Casual players, traders — you name it. I even tested the issue myself by hopping onto unused accounts, trading a few cards, and playing a couple of Rivals games. And guess what? After about 10 hours of normal gameplay, I got banned for literally no reason.
We didn’t sell coins. Most of us didn’t use any external web app add-ons or bots. Just regular Weekend League gameplay with some trading on the side to improve our teams — literally using the in-game market as intended.
My friends and I did some research to figure out what might have caused this. We reviewed the cards we bought and sold, as well as our profits and losses. Across all 14 accounts, there was exactly one common card purchased on every single account: Ibanez Winter Wildcard.
The point of this post is to make this issue public and hopefully get it noticed by someone at EA. Many people have lost their time, money, and nerves. EA Help’s policy is based almost entirely on automated responses, so when you try to appeal a ban, you’re stuck resending the same message only to get rejected by a bot 24 hours later. It’s incredibly frustrating.
I've already made a post on Reddit and X both got quite a big attention, but still no action by EA. So please, if you’re in the same situation, upvote this post. Feel free to comment about your experience with EA Help, and if you managed to get unbanned, let us know how you did it.
To the unpaid volunteers running this forum - please do not consolidate or close these threads. There are a lot of players having this issue. It's very silly from a company perspective to ban legitimate players before the biggest money making promo (for shareholders) of the year.
The biggest issue is that they are just ignoring what is happening and nobody can do anything about it.
Unless some content creator picks up on it and spreads the word they will most likely just sweep it under the carpet, or fix it eventually, whenever that might be and then act like they are the big heroes and that they fixed all these bans etc.
Not to mention that there won't be any compensation either
Starting from the second ban appeal it looks like an actual person checks the case, which is still a joke since the first one basically always gets automatically denied. Then the second ban appeal, like in my case right now, usually takes a week or longer to be reviewed. No updates or any messages in between.
Same issue with me coin wiped and shortly after transfer banned. 1st appeal denied by bot. I’m waiting on the 2nd as I appealed for the transfer banned and referenced the coin wipe:
I just wanted to update on this.
I started playing FIFA in 1997 and have played up to FIFA 17 - mainly ultimate team then and really enjoyed packing TOTY CR7- unfortunately due to life circumstances (children) I gave up playing till FC23 when I restarted.
I want to prefix that I have never gone against the terms of service and never abused the game/transfer market or bought or sold any coins. I am also in real life in an extremely responsible position (life and death decisions) and have always payed my taxes and never had any penalties imposed for my driving licence or have never broken the law!
I started playing FC26 shortly after launch and mainly ultimate team and slowly but surely started with good squad and completed the objectives as the seasons progressed and managed to assemble a very nice untradeable squad.
I had an aim of improving my chance of buying my favourite player (Mbappe) who was 1.5million coins until recently by actively trading on the transfer market.
I sought to buy my teams on Sunday night after champs and sell before next champs to make modest profits with the aim of buying my favourite player around the time of TOTY
I also bought TOTW for 12.75k on Sundays and sold for 15k to make modest profits toward SBC times etc
I noticed an Evo on Friday 9th of January -fountain of youth and learned CR7 gold would fit so I bought him for 5.7k then changed my mind as I heard he would not have rapid step and sold him for market value at the time of 9k (prices had almost doubled due to his scarcity). I then changed my mind again on Saturday and bought him back but this time for 10k (prices had maxed due to Cr7 going extinct on PC). Long story short I was still of 2 minds and sold him again for 10k and took a small loss. It was instantly bought as there were no CR7 Ronaldo’s (gold) on the market.
I eventually amassed 1.682million coins by 10th January and was really pleased that I could buy Mbappe and perhaps 1 or 2 TOTY players.
I was horrified to discover the above email on Sunday the 12th January that I received an email suggesting I was involved in coins transfer and had all my coins wiped but I was able to play the game. That day for only the 2nd time I played and got promoted to Division 6 in Rivals and looked forward to playing my 2nd champs, only I didn’t as losing all my coins given I was innocent (did not participate in coin buying or distribution but was coin wiped), left a bitter taste in my mouth. All the past 3 months of hard work were taken away through no fault of my own.
This was my coin balance and team on Saturday 10th January night before going to bed:
I of course sent an appeal on Sunday 11th January night, as I felt I was incredibly unfairly punished for no wrong doing:

this was opened as I had closed my original case by mistake

Can I chat with EA advisor please :
I feel I have unfairly coin wiped and did not engage in balance transfers.
I was punished in error, as I have not exploited game mechanics or used 3rd party tools or used coin purchasing in this account.
My transfer market activity was consistent with normal in-game mechanics.
I would like to request a DASR (data subject access request) under applicable data protection regulations.
Please provide:
The specific reason for this action.
The market transaction logs or data points used to justify the punishment.
Confirmation my request has been reviewed by a human member of the TOS team, not an automated system.
I respectably request this appeal be escalated to the Terms of Service Team for a full and transparent review.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Kind regards

After 2 days I got this email today banning me from the transfer market on top of the on wipe!
I am utterly devasted and feel I’m automatically been effectively criminalised without any wrong doing.
I got this response from the TOS team I believe today in email:
I am so unhappy about this outcome as I’ve always been a person of integrity and honesty and this has shook my belief of playing by the rules rules and get punished for no wrong doing.
I am now scared of ever using the transfer market to better my team if this ever happens in the future
I would love the TOS (terms of service team) team to look against my case and see that I am a legitimate gamer and have never broken any rules, I also have amassed probably close to 1000 games in Ultimate team and wanted to better my skills hence got promoted to division 6.
Please Please look at my case again and overturn this case of miscarriage of justice EA!

Same thing happened to me on PC on Sunday 11th after working hard to build up to 1.7 mil coins and trading legitimately.
Coin wipe appeal denied, transfer banned and then appeal pending referencing the coin wipe.

Got the exact same reply, which proves that they don't look at anything before denying the first ban appeal. This issue still not even getting acknowledged, days later is wild.
I've left feedback on the player portal and the two emails I have access too. Keep at it guys, there are too many of us with the same exact issue for this not to be in error. The hard part is getting a human response and EA to acknowledge the issue.
The clarity of bans is very poor, then players get walled so you cant reply or appeal. All Bans are auto, (no matter what they say) as no human has the skills to read millions of emails and requests per day in multiple languages and do live chat ect. in 8 hours human staff work per day its impossible to run an in-depth look at the ban and what the ai picked up that it flagg the ban. So it depends of how the ai is set does it trigger if a certain amount of millions of coins is traded like 30m plus? Then it sees if that amount has been purchased, if not it flags it, Is their a max 30m that if reached its auto ban as its perceived as a non realistic amount,
EA going after players is wrong in my eyes .Their are soo many illegal coin sites whom are the real villains and many sponsor streamers, EA are losing more money via these sites than 50k players buying a few coins or what ever. But EA refuse to go after the sites or the streamers advertising them. and sponsored by them. It makes no sense.......
