Fantasy/Sci-Fi/etc. Themed Packs

With EbN most of the supernatural Life States are in Sims 4. I would of course like more but a general satisfaction that if you have RoM/V/W/EbN you finally almost have the equivalent to Sims 3 Supernatural. Sims 3 Supernatural (my first Sims 3 pack) is what got me hooked on buying all Sims 3 packs and almost the entire Sims 3 store—so that is why I mention it.

But because I am a fantasy/sci-fi based player, non-fantasy/sci-fi packs and packs that do not compliment fantasy/sci-fi type themes don't interest me much—so that means there are more packs I rather skip/not buy than buy (but I am also aware many players feel the opposite too). At least that is what I found in Sims 4, it is easier to skip packs in Sims 4 than Sims 3. Also funny enough, I had no interest in the Journey to Batuu (I mean I probably would like the CAS and Build by the rest of the pack I have zero interest), just the Star Wars universe doesn't really have a place in my Sim worlds (but I might buy it (on sale), if they add a Dystopian EP/GP).

With this, new packs are really going to have to impress me to buy, otherwise I need hard convincing just to buy packs when they are on sale. So here are some idea for packs that might interest fantasy/sci-fi/themed game style players and may or may not interest non-fantasy/non-sci-fi/non-themed game style players.

  • Steampunk, bring back inventing that is more tinkerer/eccentric based that can work for past, modern and (dystopian) future themed players. I loved using both Ambitions/WA and the steampunk store packs (including Midnight Hollow) to create a sort of industrial steampunk themed game. This could probably be a GP but you'd wow me if you did a EP.
  • Medieval, also a fan of Dragon Valley and baby dragons. I think many players would love to be technology free (no cell phones/computers/TVs/etc.) especially for a non-ECO off the grid challenge. I'd suggest an EP, make it so you can play past/modern tech (or lack of tech).
  • Underground and/or Underwater Biodome, my fav Sims 2 lot was a the Biodome, I still want to see that again revised. But for a fallout or future playstyle this would be so cool. Or even ocean exploration themed.
  • Space Station/Spaceship, or some Future World. I loved Into the Future and Oasis landing! I miss nanites and the regular or dystopian versions of the future world.
  • Whimsical, I loved the Looking Glass/Wonderland store items, I sort of used Midnight Hollow and utopian future to play an Alice in Wonderland theme game. I'd love a tea party table (I loved the store tea set table). This could be a GP or very least a SP (similar to how Paranormal works) but please not a Kit (it wouldn't be enough to work with). The idea of oversized items, from being shrunk (misses oversized flowers). How to make this work for non-fantasy themed players, theme park lots/capability for themed lots, to keep fantasy Sims in certain worlds/lots similar to werewolves staying in their world.
  • Adventure Worlds, aka Al Simhara, Shang Simla and Champs Les Sims, JA is nice but I really loved these worlds too. This is themed but not fantasy/sci-fi so more people should be able to enjoy.

  • Whimsical

    • Tea Party Table/Tables, it be great if you could have table segments that can connect so you can have a custom long/short, crooked or round tea part table. The segments can be plain, crooked/asymmetrical, curved or with existing tea party decor, or miss-matched tabled cloths,  etc. And options to "have tea", "have tea with ..." and "have tea party". Tea fills food/energy/social (if "with..." or "party") at the cost of lowering bladder slight faster. Make it so tea party table can be a classic tea set/table or whimsical so those who want it in a normal game can use the classic.
    • Lot assignment or Trait, that encourages sims to have tea, socialize or read. Spawn Eat Me/Drink Me items  and other "curious items" (similar to how Paranormal spawns items on Haunted house lot).
    • Eat Me/Drink Me consumables. A recipe and/or just consumable items that give an effect.
    • Whimsical CAS/Build/Buy inspiration Sim 3 store Through the Spy Glass (heck you could use the same models and expand from it). Or you could look at any interpretation of Alice in Wonderland through out the decades.
    • Oversized Flowers and other Items (I love that EbN added oversized Mushrooms in debug) some oversized flowers similar to ITF and other items.
  • I'd be interested in more medieval content (and dragons!) and possibly steampunk content.

I would really love anything that allows effective gameplay without phones, computers, and other mod cons as those things would help the immersion for all kinds of fantasy and historical gameplay.

  • Space Station/Spaceship

    • Space/Time/World Explorer career. Traveling to the other worlds to complete tasks, collect collectibles samples, etc.
    • Ranking System: Captain, Lieutenant, Ensign, etc.
    • Assign Tasks to your team/household: medical (to treat illness if GtW, ailments if EnB, etc.), scientific research (to gain/practice academic research such as Logic, Gardening, Apothecary, Gemology), engineering (to gain/practice handiness, rocket science, robotics, etc.), security (to gain/practice athletic skill, or be adventurous), culinary or service (to cook/cater for the crew), etc.
    • Advanced Technology Skill, to use the high tech items (loved this in ITF)
    • Crystal/Crystalline Energy Source to maintain and repair.
    • Food Replicators! (I loved these in ITF, especially how I didn't want to cook/gain cooking skill)

    Future or Alien World:

    • Expand Sixam to a World or other new alien world.
    • Expand: Alien Occult to have their own ability tree.
    • Alien Small Pets (like Tribbles for example)
    • More Alien Plants
    • Alien Ailments (I love EnB ailments they just need to tune how frequent and have to have an option to opt out!!!)

If we ever get something like the Ocean EP from the survey i totally wish the underwater biodomes to be on it.

And i'd love to have a Space station pack. It would be so cool living in space seeing the space, meteors stars, planets. And it could bring the astronaut caree as an active career fighting pirates invading our station, floating out in the void, planetary diplomacy, space diseases (like the Oozig Space Measles from astronaut career)

I've made a suggestion for an Aliens Game Pack, but now that GP are gone i couldn't find an EP theme where aliens could fit. I thought of a futuristic pack but i'd like to have androids there. But this pack idea would be a great opportunity to bring a new alien species. Maybe they could be from Illustria planet and have light/energy based powers since it gives me a solarpunk planet feeling.

Aliens with powers related to sun's energy: Starfire (DC), Superman (DC) and Stella (Winx Club)

  • Underground

    • If underground neighbourhoods could be split into levels.
    • This could be a Dystopian fallout shelter underground; or
    • A crystalline cave with different section: a crystal housing area, hot springs area and an industry/city.
    • Skill: Mining (or upgrading to Gemology if Crystal Creations) .
    • Experiment and Fuse Crystals (experiment could increase of decrease the value of Crystal, if Crystal Creations fusing merging crystals to have combo effects gems and jewelry).
    • Items: New Crystals and New Fused Crystals (if Crystal Creations).
    • Crystals are used as an "off the grid" energy source (since no sun), or underground geysers for an "off the grid" heat source.
    • Water collecting rom the hot springs for "off the grid".

    Underwater Biodome

    • Either a giant Biodome for the whole neighbourhood or one Biodome for each lot.
    • Sea life can be seen swimming on the other side of the biodome.
    • Skill: Scuba Diving
    • Active Career: Underwater Treasure Hunting (recovering historical artifacts, coins, jewelry, weapons, etc.)
    • Places to Scuba Dive: Coral Reefs, Ship Wreckage, a Lost Ruined City (Simlantis), etc.
    • It can be an indeterminate area of the world or inspired by the great barrier reef area/Australia.
  • Steampunk

    • A Sky World
    • Air Balloons and/or Air Ships
    • Air Ship Lot they can be a type of lot (similar to how houseboats worked in Sims 3)
    • Skill: Inventing
    • Traits: Eccentric
    • Life State: SimBot (I know there are servos but I really did like the SimBot)
    • Steampunk-Victorian inspired CAS and Build/Buy
    • Tea Set (I want this back so bad LOL)
    • Careers: Inventor and Explorer (Explorer is for cross-pack with vacation worlds)
    • Pets: Mechanical Animals (Owl (works like Crow), Goldfish (works like an aquarium fish), etc.)
  • Medieval

    • Mill to make flour and refine sugar.
    • Wheat and Sugar Cane plants.
    • Lot Trait: Estate (adds NPC servants cook, clean, feed animals, etc. at no direct cost (or much lower cost than services) but they need food and a bed (assigned) or will leave daily and return the next day).
    • Era Living Lot Challenge (basically "Off the Grid" and "Back to the Old Days" with applicable stand-in items to make up for lack of tech/appliances).
    • Rats and Pestilence Lot Challenge (basically if you have your hygiene get to orange/red while on this lot, you roll a chance to get the plague. Lot gets dirtier faster and if the lot gets excessively dirty rats appear and can bite Sims with a chance of getting the plague). Plague if not treated results in Death by Plague.
    • Death: Plague.
    • No phones! Homing pigeons or other alternate ways to get services, etc.
    • Traits: Scholar (learns logic and other academic skills faster as long as it is not technology based). Renaissance Sim (learns Creative skills faster as long as it is not technology based). Underprivileged (learns all skills slower, has more fails and low quality crafted items).
    • Renaissance Fair and activities (for those who want to integrate the medieval theme to a modern game). This could be a community lot type that changes Sims to medieval costumes.
    • A large/grand orrery on a community lot for Scholar and Renaissance Sims to discuss horary, astronomy and astrology. Allow adding solar eclipse events to the calendar once a month/season, and add birthdays to calendar (otherwise birthdays will be populated when born on said day).
    • Simology: Astrology Signs (with seasons will be tied to the closest applicable season). Astrology signs can improve certain traits' moodlet results if they are complimentary to the sign. Example moody traits (Gloomy, Macabre, etc.) may be associated with the Cancer sign and complimentary to creative moods, Scorpio may be complimentary to flirty moods and the Materialistic trait. This should inspire to make Sims' traits complimentary to their zodiac sign and/or vice versa or otherwise fun to make them conflicting.
    • Birthstones (Crystals Creations cross-pack) if wearing your birthstone (aka in game crystal) mood's moodlet has double effect.
    • Pets: Baby Dragons.
    • NPCs: Servants.
    • Writing Skill via books/scrolls.
    • Archery (Hunting)/Sword  Fighting skills.
    • When hunting you can acquire red/white meat.
    • Forest rabbithole: for hunting, quests, etc.
    • Quests like a jobs board.
    • Celtic, Norse, Gothic, etc. inspired cultures for CAS and Build/Buy. Pop culture wise for inspiration GoT, LotR, maybe even Dragon Age references, etc.
