ROYALTY & LEGACY FEEDBACK

The family tree is borderline amazing but it really needs the ability to customize and add whomever you like. It would be such a game changer if a sim I made in CAS could be linked to an ancestor who isn't even alive anymore like if I want my new sim to be the sister of Cordelia the First but the only one currently alive in the tree is Cordelia the Third or Fourth and I want to form that specific connection for the storyline we should be able to just go in and manually make that link.

Royalty is pretty amazing as well from the dynasties to the differing career titles but in gameplay there are some missing pieces. The monarch should be able to actually seize people like they should be able to literally scream GUARDS and have them taken away plus we need a dedicated guard palace. The guards should be patrolling the grounds outside and be stationed at major entry points or the royal family bedrooms keeping them safe from intruders which could be another mechanic. There should be people wishing to cause mischief to the royal family and possibly harm the future heir and royal line like usurpers or even poisonings.

We also need a much more in depth servant household that is separate from the original royal household but still lives on the lot and functions like its own household. It would be amazing to have a tab right above the household pictures in game mode that keeps the servant household at bay and ready without switching loading screens just in case you need to control them. Also on the map there should be a tab connected to the household and house lot that can have prefixed services with sims or let us make our own staff to assign to that servant household tab.

The Royalty and Legacy Integration Roadmap

The Ancestry Link Update (Free Game Update)

They can introduce a "Manual Connection" tool directly in the Genealogy panel. This would let you click any Sim in the world—even a fresh one from CAS—and link them to an ancestor who isn't alive anymore. If you want your new Sim to be the sister of Cordelia the First but the only one left in the tree is Cordelia the Fourth, you could just force that connection and the game would bridge the gap for the storyline.

The Guard Security System (Add-on Pack)

This would be separate from the service staff and come at the user's discretion. You could place "Guard Posts" around the build and assign up to 8-10 guards per lot. They would be stationed at major entry points or royal bedrooms and would literally patrol the grounds to keep the family safe from intruders, usurpers, or poisonings. When things go wrong, the monarch could just scream GUARDS and the stationed Sims would immediately seize the target and drag them away.

The Service Wing UI (UI Overhaul)

To keep the household portraits clean, they should add a tab right above the Sim pictures in Live Mode. You could toggle between the Royal Family and the Servant Household so they stay at bay and ready without you needing to switch loading screens. This way you can control the staff if you need to, but they don't clutter up your main family bar.

The Map Staffing Tab

On the world map, every royal lot should have a connected tab where you can manage the household staff. You could either pick from "Prefixed Services" that come with pre-made Sims or hit a button to make your own custom staff in CAS to assign specifically to that servant household tab so they are always there when you load the lot.

    Fighting Back Against Usurpers

When a Usurper tries to make a move—like challenging your Sim to a duel for the throne or trying to rally the public against you—there should be ways to shut it down.

    • The Royal Duel: If a Usurper challenges you, your Monarch should be able to accept a "Trial by Combat." If you have a high Fitness or the new Swordsmanship skill, you can physically beat them back and then use the GUARDS! command to have them thrown in the dungeon right then and there.
    • Bribes and Blackmail: You should be able to use the servant household (the Spies or Butlers) to dig up dirt on the Usurper first. If you find a "Scandal" on them, you can blackmail them into leaving the kingdom or strip them of their noble title before they even get a chance to seize power.

    Saving Poisoned Sims

Poisoning shouldn't be an instant "Game Over." There should be a window of time where you can save your Royal.

    • The Royal Apothecary: You should be able to have a servant or a family member with high Gardening or Logic quickly brew a "Royal Antidote" using a new rare ingredient like "Kingsfoil" or "Dragon Fruit."
    • The Food Taster: If you have the new Service Wing tab, you can assign a specific servant to be a "Food Taster." They would eat the meal first—if they get sick, your Monarch stays safe, and the Guards are automatically alerted to search the kitchen!
    • Emergency Medical Care: There could be a new "Call Royal Physician" interaction on the phone that brings an NPC over who can treat the poisoning for a high fee, giving you a second chance to save the heir.

    Guard Reactions

If an intruder is caught near the Royal Bedrooms, the guards shouldn't just stand there. They should have an "Apprehend" animation where they tackle the intruder. If the guard is successful, you get a notification asking if you want to Exile, Imprison, or Pardon the intruder, which would affect your "Fairness" or "Tyrant" reputation.
