We Need the Ability to turn off vampires in (Gameplay) Settings…

There are many expansion packs/game packs/stuff packs where we have control over our gameplay. I can turn off the dust building from bust the dust, I can make the weather less severe from seasons, I can turn off acne from high school years, there are so many things that we can turn off to control our gameplay. Why the heck can we not turn off vampires? I got the pack recently during the summer sale because I thought I would enjoy using some of the build items. I’m very disappointed to find out that I cannot control vampires in my gameplay. I don’t want them on. I don’t want my Sims being turned into vampires…I didn’t want the pack for that content. I wanted the pack for the build items, and, based off of every other pack, I thought I’d be able to turn the vampires off. Now I’m learning that I can do a few things in gameplay to try to deter the vampires,  but I cannot turn off the vampires anywhere in the settings... I also read that I would  have to disable the pack in my EA account so that they would be n more vampire game play effects… but that means I don’t get access to any of the build items that I’ve paid for from this pack. I think this is ridiculous. I think it’s a waste of money, and I think EA should’ve been clear about that in the advertising of the pack and the product description of the pack. I think there should be a note that says “please note that you cannot turn off vampires in gameplay, so only by this pack if you’re OK with having vampires turned on all the time”. I’m so disappointed, a vampire broke into my sim’s house and there was nothing I could do to even fight him off or avoid it happening. She wouldn’t even wake up in time to run away or anything due to game lagging. It’s so stupid!!!!! Arg!!!!!

Note: I did add the private dwelling lot setting, the no trespassing for the front door (idk how this will affect my business on the lot from businesses and hobbies pack because don’t customers need the business door set to front door..?), and I plan to carry garlic and plant some garlic on the lot. It’s just dumb that vampires are running around in the game and potentially biting other families…I don’t want my son’s boyfriend to move in yet but what if he gets turned into a vampire? And what else can I do? Delete all the vampire households and hope they never respawn?? I have the werewolf pack and luckily due to the gameplay settings I’ve never had to interact with them! The fact I can’t do this with Vampires is sooooo dumb!!!! I had no idea!

Miataplay so as I mentioned in my post, most of the packs have feature you can turn off to customize your gameplay, werewolves included, it would be nice of EA to announce that this is NOT an option with vampires. What if I want to play with vampires in one save but not ALL saves? Or to access the furniture in certain saves but not have vampire gameplay? Seems silly to have the option to have werewolves confined to one world, but not vampires.

Prov31Simmer i bought the pack for those furniture styles and features as well, and I figured I might try the gameplay in a specific save file, but I just don’t want them in aaaaaall of my saves! I still love the furniture, I just don’t want to have to manage vampires all the time. I did change the door setting so fingers crossed!

This would be an issue between you and EA.

I'm fine with the way occults are in my game. The only thing I want for all occults in the game are updates and skill trees for those that don't have one.

I don't have issues with vampires breaking in or trespassing with my 270 saved sims in households...I don't care about NPC's

You should not be worried about my opinion.

It's not going to get you any closer to your goal.

I'm sorry you feel that I'm ignorant and I really don't care. I put my feedback in this thread and I'm straight forward with my responses.

It's better to disagree than to call someone ignorant.

You don't get anywhere with name calling in feedback.

frostysbae I was hesitant about even buying the pack, I had all packs but that one and was holding out as I have a terrible horror phobia, in particular Vampires after accidentally seeing a scene in a movie as a small child. True story after that I had to sleep with my neck covered! So if that happened to my Sim I would be unsettled to say the least. I only bought the pack for the build/CAS content as it goes very well with my castle style builds.

When I accidentally let one into my Sim's apartment it only became evident as it was hissing! Ugh, shudders. I've made sure not to make that mistake again. I stick to a group of Townies I know well and if I want to keep a new one I edit them in CAS so I will find out there if they are a Vampire. I have found one that way before 😨.
