Game ruined after July 10th update

JonahSparkles​  It's not a bug, it's some kind of system issue.  As for why it happened, it's very difficult to tell after the fact.  I could speculate, but that wouldn't be useful since it wouldn't change the outcome.

Please run the search, if you're still interested, and let me know what you find.

For the sake of future prevention, please let me know where you've installed Sims 4.  You can see the location in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

But how did the game update do this though and can the bug be fixed soon 

JonahSparkles​  The folder with the game's program files, the one that has EPxx and SPxx subfolders, is irrelevant here... hopefully.  Where is this Sims 4 folder located?  You can right-click it and choose Properties > General to view the location.

Putting that aside, it sounds like your saves might be gone for good.  Before you give up entirely though, it's worth doing a more comprehensive search.  Download Everything, from VoidTools, which is a free and highly efficient search tool.  The portable version is fine, and you don't have to pay.

Open Everything and search for Slot_ again.  Let me know what you find.

all my save games gone.at 8pm on july 10th my game automatically updated when I got back all my saved for wiped away and it says new game as if I’ve never played before.

please help I’ve tried  file and recycle bin 

one drive , doing the search with slot_ , going to onedrive.com locating all my files 

it’s as if someone deleted them but I would never do that there was so many I would know if I did or not. Specifically 

Please help before the update all my saves disappeared and all that was on the screen was my sims in the picture with the resume still there I logged off the game making it just needed to restart to get back to normal, then the game automatically updated when I got back to the game all my save games all got deleted somehow, also my save file in sims4 electronic arts all of them are gone too. I’ve checked my recycling bin nothing

will that work to get my data back 

I tried putting my ea games program files into my saves but I don’t know  if that will work.I moved all of them to the saved in sims electronic arts
